blondefish wants to know if there is a 30% witholding on the donuts?
  • Imagine that. Customer appreciation + casino in the same sentence.

I guess that would be the 'timbit'
  • Doesn't the tax on the tourney winnings make these -ev for pretty much everyone?

if you get raked (as Blondefish has noted previously), definitely -ev; although not many legal tournament options these days for under $200.

Haven't you read - rake doesn't matter (> 30%). Just win and eat the free donut!

There are enough alternatives to getting raped across the border at Seneca. I'm playing in at least seven casino tournaments in Ontario this month with a buy-in of $200 or less.

When I played at IP, I was told that they would also withhold on any high hand jackpot won over $600; seems to be a lot of mis-information out there regarding withholding. Good luck with those seven. The structure for the Seneca tournaments seem decent, although that W/H rake really sucks.
