Sunday Deepstack

The wife is going out of town on Sunday for a few days, so I am going to play the P* deepstack event at noon on Sunday.

Anyone want to join in the suicide pact?
(Last run I lost AA < QQ (after 7+ hrs) to the biggest lag in the game :( )

Maybe a LL?

  • Whats the buy in there? I think I still have a step 4 ticket on p*....

-I am not seeing the event? Is it a regular tourney...or...
  • Yeah what are the details? I don't see it in the lobby. I'd rather do the $80k at 3pm or BCC. BCC Tues night?

    $11 buyin
    5k in chips
    30 minute blinds

    I don't see an 80k @ 3PM

BCC Tues night is a plan moose
  • Will let you know here, Sunday morning, if I am playing. For sure on the LL if I am playing.
  • What time you guys hitting up BCC on Tues?
  • I say wings first. Call BCC and get there 6:30ish.
  • Fack...way too early for me.

    Sounds like a plan.

My pointer has hovered over the register button on this one a few times, but I've never quite had the suicidal tendencies to enter it yet.

With an $11 buy-in and a starting time of 12 noon ET Sunday (prime 'Intellipoker' hours), I'm sure there are still quite a few players that play deep stack poker as if it was a turbo.

Roughly what % of players would you say are super-aggressive types? How deep were you after 7+ hours? How long do these things usually go start-to-finish?
  • I'm a definite maybe for Sunday.....
  • How long do these things usually go start-to-finish?

    This...

30 min blinds..damn...that is 9 hrs? for blinds to match starting stack. I guess one can sit out the first hour/few hours comfortably..lol

    Mass suicide is more fun.

I'd say 60% of these guys don't have a fkn clue how to play deepstacks, they still try and double up early. So bad beats aplenty.

Start-to-finish is about 12hrs and from the ones that I have played it's about 5+hrs to the money.

You certainly can. I usually am only looking at playing QQ+/AKs for the 1st hr with some set mining thrown in if I am at a nice limpy table.

You'll def be wanting to have at least 3 other games going to prevent those voices in your head from telling you: "he can't have Aces....Shove over the 3 bet ;)"
  • If I'm at home.......I'm in.....for LL as well. Will confirm Sunday.
  • I'm in, when are you going to play? Central european time or just how many hours left?
  • Don't forget to all sign up for the $65 satellite with an overlay. Even if you don't want to go to the Blue Water Classic, there will be players like me interested in buying the entry coin.
