  • You're probably playing to high of limits for your bankroll if the bad beats seem to frequent. When you're playing the proper limit, bad beats will roll of you like white on rice.....wait, that doesn't work....like peas in a pod...nope......like a bead of sweat off a hairy nipple, with a hot wing under it.....yeah, that's it.
  • Clearly online poker is rigged ;)

It only SEEMS like there is unusual amount of bad beats because you see so many more hand then a live game. All you can do is get your money in good and hope for the best.
  • ...and Stars is so big that there are usually a few donks on each table that will call with hands that don't have the odds and then they will suck out.

I should know, I've done that to a lot of players better than me :)

then gave them back the cash when I wasn't as lucky

but I'm feeling much better now. ;)
  • insta-rigged.

Where do you play now? I'm mostly on FTP
  • I change sites more often than I wear panties

..wait, that's not right is it? I'm bad with metaphors.

Well, only you would know if that's right, Kristy. I don't have a lot of trouble believing what you said. Remember, I trust you and believe everything you tell me.

BTW, bad beats on Poker Stars -- where do I start?

Here's the latest one. I flopped a flush to the ace and was lucky enough (I thought) to get all-in action from another player. We flipped cards, and he had K-4. He had only hit his king on the flop, and I guess he felt that was good enough. In typical PS fashion, he ran 4-4 on the turn and river to beat me with a full boat. Sick, sick sick!

Hahaha... actually that is prob the best answer. When you play limits where you are properly bankrolled for you really don't notice the bad beats as much.

Geez, don't sugar coat it so much. lol.
  • Only one possible way to loose the hand, and sure enough...PS doesn't disappoint...
Preflop i am sitting with 7200...opponent has a little over 5k...i raise and double the pot..he reraises and goes all in...i call
    Me..KK (spades/hearts)
    Him...KK (clubs/diam.)

    Flop...A(diam.)
    3(clubs)
    10(diam.)
i'm thinkin split pot...until the turn
    Turn... 6(diam.)
now i'm thinkin...no freakin way... sure enough
    River... 4(diam)

all i could do was laugh my ass off

    I came.
  • You do know it happens live as well don't you, a week ago final four of 100 man tourney at Pockets (local underground), chip leader has me covered by only a very small amount, we get it all in preflop with probably almost 50BB apiece after 3 or 4 reraises. he has Kings, I have Aces, flop, turn and river goes in order... 2,3,4,5,6..... Sick.. Once you play enough hands you will think you have seen it all, and then, no.. another way to get beat, or a split in this case..
