Canadian Poker Expo - Booth Ideas?

I just found out today that I will be having a booth at the Canadian Poker Expo for PokerForum.ca. I have never done a show before, but have been to many. I am trying to think of what I can do to make the PokerForum.ca booth interesting, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone had any ideas. Of course I will throw in some casino cash for good ideas. Also as we get closer to the event I will do some things to give away some tickets.

    For one thing...website design looks pretty impressive.

    Maybe have a feature guest for the booth? I'll have more ideas later...need sleep

    It should be a really good show. I was talking to the organizer today and they are getting FTP to bring a bunch of the pros, a model contest, plus a bunch of other cool things that they will probably post eventually on the site.

    Give out the pw to a forum only tourney and tell everyone that creates an account here and posts that you will pay their buyin.

    Get Compuease dressed up as a pimp. He already has the hat. Just add a large feather.

    Take photos of people that visit the booth and post their photo on the forum. If you have a roving photog handing out url stickers or something you can expand the reach of the booth. They can either be directed to your booth to see their photo posted on the forum or they can go home and surf it later as well.

    Take a look at some of the previous WSOP expo exhibits and if you can duplicate some of those you will definitely get some attention.

    Good ideas for these type of trade shows include getting some sort of banner made up and hanging it on a truss like they do with those import car shows. Then if you can grab a laptop and 2 flat screens you can show some of our premier members and list accomplishments of other forumers.

    Have that rolling in a powerpoint with a quick animation demo of the site and what it has to offer and I think you will have a nice set up.

    You may want to offer swag. The custom poker chip would be nice with the website address on it so people can come by and pick one up off a table

    Don't forget a poster board with epic posts/quotes! Or a screen PP presentation with them rolling across...

    Young ladies in CPF logo'd bikinis handing out custom chips always does wonders.

    Definitely some decent sized LCD's set up highlighting the fun stuff on the forum, as well as the pro/strategy/accomplishment side..

    Might want to speed up the site though, if you are going to show it off...lol..or am I the only one that is it painfully slow for most of the time?

    Take some time, get a premium membership to that xtreme cartoon site..use the cartoon dudes and dude-ettes to recreate some of the better threads...

    The WSOP expos have actually been garbage, compared to what they were like when the poker rooms were involved.

    Replicate what BODOG did a few years ago at the EXPO. Their booth had stairs to a top floor where there was a bed with 2 chicks in lingerie that you'd get into bed with and they'd shoot a 15 sec video of the three of you having a pillow fight.

    Might just be me, but I can see the people that are sponsoring forumers who have hit the big time taking issue with the use of their likenesses, names, etc. Having said that, I am sure that there are ways to be subtle about these things . . .

    I don't think it would be bad to use their names...I mean they are technically members. You wouldn't promote them as stars of the forum but more of "alumni" or "achievements"

    I don't think Watts,Chorny, or Ryanhall would have a problem with that (those are the names that stand out in my head)

    Not to get bogged down on this, but the issue would not be whether it's okay with Watts, et al. Hell, Devin might LOVE the publicity. The problem would come from the people who are backing them with real $$$ and, as such, would have exclusivity to things like image/name rights (stuff like that). As has been pointed out, there are ways around it, but one needs to be cautious. If you put too much into something like that, and have to take it all down within the first hour, you're screwed . . .

    Well obviously you would want to have all your bases covered. And I appologize to the "all aces crew" with Devo and Dave, et al.

    I just keep seeing that Watts Banner and Watts post(HOF) everytime I log into this site and well hard not too mention it.

    Really anyone on the site that has good accomplishments should be mentioned. I took down a couple of Venetian tournies if you want to mention that too....LOL (as small as they are in Buy in and size....)

    But maybe Graham could create a post to get people to list "serious" wins so he could put that up as a key selling point to the site. IE:

    Over XXX members with XXX earnings
    10 Members winning a total of X dollars in 200X
