Just wondering..
So, don't post here often, but always checking the site out and thought I'd ask a quick question.
I don't usually do freerolls. Usually stick to $6 SNG and 180 person tourneys on P*. I do...ok. Obviously better in the SNG than tourneys. That's probably more info than you folks wanted to hear, so here's my question.
Anyhoo, for some reason my little pea brain is dragging me to this Canadian only hockey freeroll on Pokerstars. It looks like it could be upwards of 3000 people. If I visualize positively and stay in for a while, how long is this damn thing going to go on? Am I going to be up all night playing against kids who can't afford to play for real money?
So, there's a long winded version of a short question.
Happy Family Day everyone.
Regards, Bill.

I'm new here but familiar with those freerolls on P*, all i can say is that if your in for the win good luck. I've tried those things and find the first 1/2 hour brutal since its a freeroll, its pretty much nothing but all-ins for the first while for people to try to win as much as humanly possible, then after that dies down a little, then ya can play some cards. With only 3000 people, it should only take about 4-5 maybe 6 hours to wind down. depending how cautious everyone gets come crunch time.
Hope that helped a little.
My rule of thumb is, "By the time the big blind is equal to the initial buy in, there will be 10% of the players playing". Then I apply that rule iteratively.
