    Are you Cellino or Barnes?

    LOL!

For the OP, seriously though, can you at least give us a point form / coles notes version instead of just sending us a link?
  • Party poker runs promo thats says if you ear 15000 points, we'll give you $1000.

OP asks if they deduct the points. Party says no, you keep the 15000 points.

OP gets the $1000 and Party takes the 15000 points.

During promo, party changes the terms of the bonus to say that they'll deduct the points.

2+2 outrage ensues and Party decides to honor the terms of the original promo.

Variance: The 15000 points are worth like $1200 bucks without the promo. So it could have been titled "Party Poker Give us $200 for your points" promo.
  • Thanks for the Coles Notes. I haven't even earned the 2,500 points required to fully clear my $500 deposit bonus, so I didn't pay attention to that promotion. One bad Party employee just rejected my fourth $100 bonus claim as expired when I still have until April to clear my bonus.

  • I actually called Party Poker about this months ago and tried to explain why this promotion made no sense, as is the case with many Party Promos (though the silly free casino bonuses I got every day the last 2 weeks of December were just fine).

Reading the terms and speaking with the rep confirmed that it was basically a non promotion, though I am sure they thought it was a promotion of value somehow as the rep did not quite get what my point was.

I just chalked it up to Party not knowing what they are doing in a promotion, fairly commonplace for them, though often it works in the players favor on the casinos. Those I tend not to call about.

They did resolve this after the fact but in a way that did punish the people who read the terms and called to confirm them, but again that is pretty standard for the course for Party Poker.
