  • Use Moneybookers.
  • Oh and Welcome to the forum!
  • Agreed. I used a credit card to make my initial deposit at PartyPoker. Thanks to compuease's Moneybookers transfer, I can now easily deposit, withdraw and transfer money with Moneybookers, PartyPoker, PokerStars, etc. I haven't actually bothered to receive cash yet so I'm not sure what the best no-fee cashout method is, but I will probably do it through whichever site offers a free cheque, then I will deposit the U$ cheque to my U$ bank account.
    Use Moneybookers.
  • I have been using money bookers, but am getting nailed $27 on every K
after bank fee and additional conv % on wires from bookers to my bank

I am thinking cheque for the win, wait the 2 weeks and freeroll till then unless your at a higherlevel than you can get a p2p transfer trade to another site
  • Problem with sites is that if you deposit (example) $1000 via Moneybookers, on your next withdrawal, you have to take the first $1000 back to MB before you can withdraw via another method.
  • Has anybody withdrawn via cheque from Moneybookers and deposited to a U$ account without problems? My wife wants me to withdraw most of my winnings "before you lose it all!" The site charges U$10 for a cheque by mail, while Moneybookers charges U$4.41.

  • ummmm...doesn't Party do direct deposit to and from bank?

They used to up until about two years ago when I stopped playing there.
  • yes, that's what i use now, and yes the really really horrible FISH!!!! are still playing on party poker.

  • PartyPoker charges U$20 for a bank wire transfer, then my bank will charge more fees. I'm thinking of first transferring to Moneybookers, then withdrawing by cheque there. PartyPoker has a maximum of U$3K for mailed cheque, while my remaining "outgoing transaction limit" (I hope that means maximum cheque amount) at Moneybookers is higher.

  • Yes I have withdrawn by USD cheque twice through Moneybookers. Then deposited into my USD account at RBC. No problems and quite quick. I'd recommend it.

The most recent amount I withdrew was $9k USD. Not sure about the maximum but I am sure it is higher than $3k.
  • I transferred $600 to Moneybookers so I can deposit for FTP's 100% matching bonus. When I tried to deposit to FTP, I got an error message stating that my Moneybookers account is frozen! :rage: I got the following email:

    "send us a copy of:
    - Your valid official identification document in colour,(front and back) such as your international passport, national identity card or drivers licence;
    - Proof of address such as recent utility bill (a gas bill, electricity bill, telephone bill etc.) or bank statement (clearly showing your name and postal address). The documents must be issued within last three months and received by post.
    :
We are legally obliged to freeze your account if left unverified."

Is this standard for Moneybookers members? So I have to look for a store with a colour photocopier and a colour fax (is there such a thing?), or a colour scanner to save it to a file for me to upload to Moneyf*ckers? :p If I knew that Moneybookers is inconvenient and would prevent me from both depositing and withdrawing, I would have looked for a different method.

Is InstaDebit the best option if I want to deposit to FTP without waiting for Moneyf*ckers? Is the exchange rate used with InstaDebit reasonable unlike the rip-off surcharges of credit card companies?
  • Standard for online transaction like these. I've had to do that on my first withdrawal from Stars/Full Tilt/Cake, and had to do it for Neteller and MB.
  • Which store did you use with colour fax or scanner services?

It's a good thing that I didn't transfer a lot from PartyPoker to Moneybookers yet, as some have had to wait ten weeks for their account to get unfrozen. I logged into PartyPoker to choose the "Checks By Mail" option, but there is no option to get the cheque in U$, and it would be converted to Canadian $ which I do not want. Is this because PartyPoker U$ cheques are not accepted in Canada?

Has anybody been able to withdraw U$ from PartyPoker via bank wire transfer to a U$ account?
  • BF.. Look for a kinkos in your area, or there is a good chance your local library has a scanner. Scanning and emailing it is quicker and less hassle.
  • Digital camera works as well. Just email the jpg.
  • It's a one time deal BF. Otherwise MB is great

(dam, I should have sent you a referal link lol)
  • For Full Tilt, Instadebit is the way to go. Very fast, no hassles. They do have a low deposit limit for first month though...200 I think? That might be negotiable if you contact them prior? Haven't had any issues with taking cash out, but the max I have taken out is 2800.

I use Instadebit for FTP as well. The exchange rate they say is similar to credit cards (think the exchange rate is current, but they have an extra charge to cover). But, if you set it up with your US$ account, you can both deposit and withdraw in US funds.

Also, deposit max may be an issue (you can probably call to get it increased).....don't think there is a problem with max withdrawel.

Has anybody here done this, i.e., deposit and withdraw directly between their U$ account and FTP? My TD U$ account is called "chequing" but I don't think I've ever written or gotten any cheques with it. TD claims that only another TD accountholder can transfer to it.

compuease seeded me into Money****ers, but I guess he didn't have a referral ID to give me. I wished I joined PartyPoker through any affiliate so PartyPoker would be forever giving back at least 20% of all that rake that I keep paying. I paid 4 figures in rake just from tournaments for the past 4 weeks. Instead I joined PartyPoker through PSO and a forumer's ID but it turns out he didn't set up a referral account so I don't think he got any credit. If anybody has a ThisIsTheNuts.com referral account, I would have been willing to join FTP/TITN through them, and I may join Cake Poker this way too.

Whenever a relative wants to play online poker, I get them to join PartyPoker through me then I show them my strategies of how to multiply their deposit. By the way, it cost me over $13 at Staples for Money****ers' scans.

That may be...only have a cdn$ account hooked in. I know when you withdraw from FTP to the instadebit acct, it stays in US funds until it's withdrawn from instadebit....so I just assumed you would be able to deposit in a US$ account. If TD has restrictions on depositing into that account it will probably be an issue.
  • I have used insta-debit and insta-cheque to deposit where possible. For those sites that don't have that option I have made the trip to Money-Mart and purchased a pre-paid credit card. Cost was $20 (one time fee) and costs $2 every time you load it. The beauty part is you are extremely safe cuz if anyone gets your account info they can only take what is on the card. (for me the money is only there for 10-15 min)

Anytime I've cashed out I've always requested a cheque. Usually have it within 2 weeks.

HI UNCLE BLONDEFISH!!!! teach me teach me, all it is the last 2 days is fucken donks calling and hitting their fucken miracle card, i am about ready to let kristy play for me:)
  • If you want to keep the US dollars and withdraw any sums of significant size, its definitely +EV to use Bank Wire transfers despite the fees because you get severly dinged on exchange rates with almost every other withdrawl method.

Money bookers is a nice way to withdraw and keep it availible to your bank account as well as other sites for the bonuses that may arise here and there.
  • I've been playing at Pokerstars starting with freeroll money, so I've never made a deposit. I understand that the only way I can cash out is to make a deposit so they have some financial institute info available -- makes sense. I've made a bit of money, and although I'm not thinking of cashing out any of it right away, I wanted to know if it's possible to make a minimum deposit through my Royal Bank CC then cash out simply by having my CC credited?

    Brag: Made more than 3k.
Ps. use $50 of that and buy a scanner.

I want to know, in dollars, exactly how much someone saves going through moneybookers instead of just clicking send cheque, or instadebit for 3k
(which I don't recall costing me anything..but, since I never pay attention to this shit..I could be wrong.)

I had to do the same thing for Mansion Poker, except I took the more economical route. I used my Digital Camera to take photos of everthing then used MS paint to black out personal info I didn't want to share, and then I emailed everything to their security dept. for verification. Fast and easy.
  • Moneybookers is the best way! i.gif

    Damn mindreaders...

I cashed 2800usd through instadebit and don't recall any charges. Think at the time I got about 3700? cdn. It was just a straight exchange usd to cdn...no fees.
  • INSTADEBIT has a currency exchange surcharge like the credit card companies for every single cashout. I'm hoping that Moneybookers allows EFT to a U$ TD chequing account.

I made a online newbie blunder that I belatedly found out from ReefAquarium would be earning me several hundred dollars extra every single month, :'( so I want to find out the best way of doing things from online poker veterans with many years more experience than me. Thanks to all the useful replies.
