Played the Venetian Deepstack on the Weds. $300 + 30 buyin.
VERY First hand I played, in late position went something like:
- middle position raise 3x blinds (25/50, 12K Starting stack)
- I look down at pocket 9's... I call
- flop 559, two hearts
- raiser overbets the pot $1000, I min-raise... he pushes....
- thinktank / call
- he turns over AK of hearts
- 5 on the turn
- 5 on the river

Did not play another tourney the rest of the trip.
Ouch. I thought getting my AA cracked by KK when somebody had folded a King was pretty bad at Casino Brantford's $400 tournament on Monday, but being a 99.3% favourite on the flop against a bad player who makes huge overbets with 240 big blinds to start would also put me on trip tilt.
