March Vegas Hotel Offers?

If you come across any good hotel offers for the month of March, can you please post the details here. I am looking at March 8 -12th tentatively.

Comments

  • I just got a mailer for the Wynn at $79 a night

The MGM grand signature (the condos behind the MGM) - have been down to $50 a night for the studio (600sq ft, big screens, and a kitchenette - I cant stand restaurant food for every meal)
  • there is a great deal for Paris at $60US but you need a players card to book the room online; that sucks!

How is the Excalibur for location? I am getting a rate of $46US for this period. Weekdays are only $33US.
  • Man with you going to Vegas in March and Wetts going in April I wish I wasn't going to my Advanced Trade from the Beginning of March to the end of April.

During both those times I can get rooms at any of the Harrahs Hotels Comped. Sorry Guys wish I could go
  • Excalibur is across from MGM, so not really the centre of the strip but towards one end

I guess this is only possible for those who have already been to Vegas and played before at these hotels. Is this a special promo right now? I can't seem to find any good deals on hotels for Feb or March. Excalibur seems to be the only decent rate so far.
  • yes i think so. but I have only been to Vegas twice in the past 2 years and Atlantic City once.
I was surprised at all the comps I can get when I logged in last night. I suggest when yuo go, get the cards for the places you play. Since I have only been to Vegas to play The WSOP, I never really had much time to play any Cash Games, and I only played a little BJ, it seems thay are very generous in giving out comps to the average player.

  • I found Trump for $109 CDN per night; seems like a great rate for this hotel. Worth the extra money?
  • How many hours did you play BJ? I played many hours at Harrah's casinos on all my three trips last year, but when I login, it shows that I have 125 points left (that I haven't used for meals) and the message
"We're sorry, you don't have any current offers."

I have many of the players cards, but I haven't received any special comps. I want to find out how much evil -EV games I have to play to get comped.

A pure poker player doesn't get anything really...just a dollar or two per hour played.

Redington got some great offers...$79 for Wynn and $50 for MGM Grand Signature is cheapst I've seen.
  • I maybe played a couple of hours a day at the lowest BJ I could find, then I changed to that silly Texas Holdem Table game.
I also went to Atlantic City last September and stayed at a Harrah's Casino, but never really played much table games.
I also used points for food while I was in Vegas last year and the year before, which wasn't many points while I was there. When I log in I have 770 points, which I think expire at some point, so I didn't waste any time booking my rooms for The WSOP.

I am staying at The Rio from June 26 to July 1 for 5 nights at $40/$40/COMP/COMP/COMP
then my wife is arriving and we are staying at Caesars from July 1 to July 3 for 2 nights at COMP/COMP

Last Year I never got any rooms comped, but this year is great, I think it may be due to me going to Atlantic City.

is this hotel hard to get around from?
  • If you're going to splurge and stay @ Trump, just go to Caesars.

Personal preference for quality and location mix:

I stay@ Bally's almost every time I go to Vegas. It is the best central strip and quality mix @ 50-80 night.
  • The mono rail goes to trump you would probably have to use that to get to the strip.

I would have to agree with Wetts wth the splurg for Trump may as well go to Caesars.

Ballys, Harrahs, or Flamingo are all decent places to stay and are pretty central on the Strip

Trump is coming in at $89US/night vs $149 for Ceasars; and Ballys is over $150US/night on the weekend.

thanks, I guess the problem is pricing as Trump seems to be coming in way cheaper than these other hotels at the current time; I guess I could book trump and cancel down the road if a better rate materializes.
  • Those rates for that time are ridiculous.

Save your money and postpone your trip 3 weeks.

Then come to WSOP circuit with us on April 12-15.
  • Everywhere in Vegas is extremely cheap right now, no real need to search for deals as they are desperate to fill some rooms.

    thanks for the invite but March is my only option and this period is before March Break kicks in;

The Wynn is offer, the MGM is private owners rental.

You can find them at vacationrentals.com

I havent stayed at the Jockey club, but have stayed at the platinum. The platinum is the best as it is corner of Koval and Tropicana, you get full access and maid service. about 900sq feet, plasma big tub penthouse view and a full kitchen. If you eat out every breaky and lunch add another $30/40 a day so kitchens make sense. However for dinner, blow the roll and be a balla!

Also it is 2 minutes from the mono, 5 from the vene and bellage closer then MGM or Strat.

thanks; I have booked the MGM for March 6 to 10th at an average rate of $76US/night ($99 weekend/$49 weekdays). I can always cancel down the road if a better deal comes up. Trump was good at $89US but there was a separate resort fee of $15US so the true cost was $104US/night. MGM seems like a much better deal for the price and location. $49 for the weekdays seem pretty decent so better to lock in this rate now.

Still need to decide on March 4-6th. Monte Carlo is coming in at about $65US/night (above link). How does this hotel compare to Tropicana where they have a $24.95US promo? This is a good link for other forum member's reference:

Las Vegas Hotel Promos Updated 01/13/2009 - See First Post - NO REQUESTS PLEASE --- !!!!!NO QUESTIONS PM ME!!!!!!!!!
  • Monte Carlo is 100% better then The Tropicana, I would never stay at The Tropicana, the Hallways to the room of the Teh Tropicana are dirty, so I would hate to see what the actual rooms look like
  • went with Paris at $80US for the first two nights; seems like a good price for this hotel. Thanks for the suggestions! Now I got to figure out the tournaments, shows, buffets, etc.
  • Paris is difinately a very nice hotel.

    Enjoy your trip
  • MGM's great if you need more cardio in your workouts. The walk from hotel room to the strip is a doozey.
  • since I don't go to Vegas that often, I guess I will bite the bullet and stay somewhere decent. MC is a good price at $65 but for another $15 I might as well stay at Paris which is centrally located and a nice place. For the other nights, since the wife will be with me, MGM will work for both of us. For those travelling in April or March, this is a great deal from MGM Grand. Lots of nights at $49 or $59US remaining. Must be booked by Feb 15th. Also includes $25US bar/restaurant credit and two free drinks (assume this is not for each night of stay):

  • Expedia..Mar 8-12:

    Binions, $88.33, total, tax-in. lol

Try hotwire.ca too, they got some good deals, you just don't which hotel it is exactly until you book.
