Poker Chips - Dominican Republic
A forumer and I will be off to the Dominican Republic on Saturday, January 17. In case anybody wants chips from the Ocean World Casino, PM me this week. I think they are denominated in US dollars. I can give you at cost whatever denominations you want as long as I receive payment before I leave (e.g., Casino Brantford tournament on January 14 or poker site transfer). You can get your chips by meeting me at any of the places I play: rake-free games in Georgetown and Mississauga, and four of the Ontario casinos (but NEVER Seneca ).
I also have a bunch of card protector souvenirs from various tournaments in Casino Brantford and Las Vegas but I am not a collector, so I can throw in whatever I find.

I will try to get the poker chips for the four people who requested one.
no trip report yet? heard you made it to the money, no?
- The TV producer surprisingly asked me to be taped for an interview the morning of the CPT Finals. At the end of Day 1, I was the chip leader! I was miked up for the final table where I was co-chip leader. After we were in the money, the chip leader raised my big blind and I knew my suited ace was better than his hand so I re-raised all-in, he quickly called with a worse hand but outdrew me, and he went on to become the CPT champion with the $160,000 prize. The poker documentary will be broadcast on The Score in the spring.
- The night before, I played a CPT Finals satellite with a last-longer side bet that included Adam Schwartz and Bunner from the 2+2 PokerCast. I won the side bet and chopped heads-up with a 2+2er.
- I played the Super Satellite on January 22 for the WPS Main Event, and won a seat as chip leader.
- On my final day, I played WPS Event #7 and got my third top six finish for the week.
Variance: I heard the cash games were crazy (including a 5-figure heads-up challenge), but I made it to the final three tables of all the tournaments, so I only had one session and missed out on the degeneracy.
Beat: After the CPT Finals, I went back to my resort then the rain started (that would not stop for 48 hours), and I missed the "hookers and blow" after-party.
The Dominican Republic and especially Canada Customs questioned me about having more than $10,000 in funds. Canada Customs opened everything, including the "Birds of Paradise" flower box that I bought for my wife, and filled out paperwork for all the money I had with me.
Here is a article: "the field was made up of professionals who had won tour events and seven online players who qualified via PartyPoker.com...
Webb will have the chance to compete against a number of his compatriots in the big events, with Daniel Negreanu, Gavin Smith and Mike Watson among the top players in the world."
Congratulations! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
GBH Poker Challenge
I'm going to get back to hitting the books.
Link doesn't work (for me)
"The one hour television show featuring the CPT Invitational Finals will air beginning in April on The Score Television Network".
No mention of Blondefish? they don't see an up and coming rising star. must have the blinders on. Did you finish in the top 50 as noted in the article? I thought you won your entry online?
A CPT representative from Germany? That's going to help the CPT's image if they start off on the wrong foot. Glad a Cdn won.
