  • At the end of the day poker will never be popular in Ontario casinos. Western Canada has taken the torch and has run with it. It's unfortunate because if they actually ran Fallsview poker room in a somewhat decent manor, as JAH pointed out having 100 people on a list with 7 tables still closed is stupidity, they may even make more money on the overflow (IE people waiting to play, shooting money away in the pit)

There are a lot of really good underground clubs now that take care of their players and the day of "raping" your clientele to make $$$$$ is slowly going away because many players are starting to realize which clubs take care of you and which clubs just want to see your $$$.

A lot of clubs will order whatever food you want, make runs for smokes (no charge), coffees,etc....they also are usually filled with a lot more action players which makes your hourly rate sky rocket.

Just like Mcguinty saying he doesn't have time to make a decision on MMA when Dana White says it will bring in millions for the local economy, OLGA has taken a similar stance when it comes to running a good poker room/economy.
