Stud and stud hi/lo near Toronto?

I'm recently getting into stud and stud hi/lo. After spending a bunch of time studying the games though I'm wondering where to go to play?

So far I'm only seeing Stud listed on websites for Seneca, and Great Blue Heron. Even more disappointing is Stud Hi/Lo because the closest place I found offering that is Turning Stone, which is pretty damn far away.

Anyone play Stud at any of these b&m's and have any info to share? Is there anywhere else nearby spreading stud?

I would suggest trying all of the retirement homes. ;)
  • lol... yeah I know... old timer's game. I just like it for some reason. Especially hi/lo which seems to be a dying game. I have trouble finding even one decent hi/lo table going where I play online.

    Anyone have a rich grandfather?
  • ive been to great blue herron many times over and ive never seen a stud game there, so i'd caution you before driving out there looking for action.
  • Turning Stone has some Stud and Stud8, but it's proabably not worth hauling it that far for that reason only. (Although, Turning Stone is a great room overall, and might be worth a weekend trip every now and then.) I've never seen anything but Texas Holdem at any Ontario casino.

I've been playing a little bit of Stud8 on PokerStars, both cash games and Sit-n-Wait-n-Go's. (It's much slower than usual for a SNG to get going, but not too bad at times.) They usually seem to have 1 or 2 cash game tables at most limits. Not exactly a game selection paradise in terms of finding fishy players, but there are at least some Stud8 games out there online.
