i mean why doesnt anyone ever want to play short handed high limit these days..im pushing the games daily...come one come all..i ll play heads up to
Much clearer, thanks.
As to your question, I guess because not many people are bankrolled for a game like that. Which would be like $15k minimum. And it seems everyone hates limit, which doesn't help.
I'd like to know what the quality of LHE play is in these games. TIA.
I would as well. Specifically, about what level of online 6max play would Brantford live 30/60 equate to?
If no one knows that, perhaps a comment on the 20/40 or 15/30 games (which i speculate must exist, having never been to Btfd)?
i was there tuesday...i play the big games there when ever they run...we through some sick twists into the 50..this week we did orbits..were the whole table must limp and big blind has option ( i wrapped 7-2 of hearts heh)..and played mandatory straddle..was a fun game

There is no 15/30 game at BCC.
In my opinion, the 20/40 game is fantastic. I play it once a week. If you're a BCC (semi)regular, you will know it's a mixture of folks who are regulars (ie. *always* at the Casino), semi-regulars like myself, and casual players.
The game can range from a rockfest, to a crazy, wild game. It all depends who is there at any given time. There are often a "main game" and a "feeder", and guys will switch, depending on the type of game they want to play in. I don't play much online anymore, so I can't give you a good comparison to an online game.
Overall (at least to date), I win more than I lose, but it can definitely be a game of swings, depending, once again, on the type table you're at. Sometimes, you really need to buckle those seatbelts!!
The 20/40 games I used to sit in a few moons ago compared to max 1/2 online. I even played in 2006 a 60/120 game out in vegas and it wasn't any better than 3/6 online...it was pitaful.
Like previous posters said, just expect swings....

i know i said it before, but... what? why only limit? my friend just told me they don't spread nl to protect the big limit games but i really don't understand how that works.
i guess i don't have to worry about this for a few months anyway
They don't spread NL because of the regulation regarding maximum bets allowed AFAIK.
Exactly. The maximum bet at the charity casinos is $100. So the biggest NL games they can run are 1/2 with a max 100 buyin. And they aren't really NL, because the biggest bet you can make is 100 no matter how big your stack is (basically plays like NL 99.9% of the time, i'm sure).
Once NL is allowed, all the fish go to play it and it does kill the higher limit games. And 10/20 and 20/40 LHE are much bigger games than 100nl.
I've seen this happen at Point Edward Casino which I used to like going to but now don't because it's just 8 tables of boring 1/2 NL.
(yes, i know that asking people with no affiliation to bcc these questions is pointless, i just like to be the kid who asks "but why" to every answer he gets)

1-100 is exactly what they are allowed to do because of max $100 bet in ontario charity casinos (brantford, point edward, etc).
As pointed out already, even the 10/20 plays bigger than 1-2, 100 max bet with a $100 max buy in.
Regardless, brantford does not need a n.l. game, it is busy enough on its own as a limit room.

I don't play 30/60 or 50/100 because I'm not good enough.
