Low cost heating
lol..this is a somewhat serious thread.
If any of you have big natural gas or propane heating bills, I will suggest trying out these infrared heaters..
ComfortZone™ Infrared Heaters
I bought one a month ago, trying to lose the firewood hassle, and the monster propane bill for my house and shop..30 days, my hydro cost me 12 bucks extra. Of course this would vary on the size of the house (mine is about 1000'sq), how well insulated...etc...but damn...it works for me. and I am not messing with firewood!! My shop hydro is quite a bit higher than the house with the heater in there, but nowhere near the propane bill I had this time last year. (not well insulated, cement floors, old windows..etc..lol) I could run 3 of them in there and still be saving money.. ($600 propane for house/shop last year..$174 for the house(12) and shop(162) on these heaters)
