Funding online poker.

Hello Everybody!

I am new to this forum and new to the online poker. What is the best legal (if any) way to fund it in Canada? I will appreciate any suggestions.

  • What do you mean by funding online poker?

You want to start your own site?

You want to make money playing poker?

Do a google search for 'poker bankroll' if you are looking at how to make money online.

If it's something else, you might not get much of a response here. Any other quesitons about funding and creating online poker sites or whatever are going to be best answered by a professional business person or lawyer.

    EDIT:

if you are just a spammer, shame on you!!! FUCKER!!!

    if not, ignore the above!
  • I just want to play real money poker...
  • Well there are tons of options... credit card is probably the easiest. Some sites have e-checks, and then there are a bunch of payment processors like moneybookers, click2pay and more. This has been discussed here before, check these threads:

You can fund Pokerstars using a cheque online. I have a separate bank account set up to do this with, but that's personal preference.
You can also use an intermediary such as moneybookers. Sites take credit cards, but some cards won't work for online gambling.
  • I think there's some confusion about the fact US players are not supposed to play for real money because of the law passed down there.

Canadians don't adhere to American law therefore it's not illegal for Canadians to simply drop their Credit Card number onto a site to deposit money....

It's actually not illegal to PLAY online poker anywhere in the US but Washington State. The law passed is only about US banking transactions funding online poker, which is why some credit cards won't work.

Right... Sorry for the confusion, but I still think that was what the OP was inquiring about.
