Calgary Home games

Howdy all. Just putting a shout out there that I host home games and tourneys. Usually between 20 and 40 seats, with buy-ins between $25 and $50. Also cash games once tables open up. (.25/.50) New players and beginners always welcome.

Always 100% payouts, no rakes. Well run games, good tables, good cards and chips.

PM or email if you're interested.

  • I don't see much need for the cash games given all the soft games around town, but I'll come play a tourney sometime for fun -- PM me with the info.
  • The cash games are merely to keep the party going. I have a 22 seat, $25 buy-in on Fri,31st. But it's also a full-dress Halloween party. Still a few seats left if you're interested. I'm in Canyon Meadows and it starts at 7. Usually wraps up around 2 or so.
  • Nice poker room you have!
  • Dave hosts a great game definately try to get out to his games if you are in the Calgary region. I just wish he hosted more often.
  • PM me the details when you get the chance

  • Hey Dave, I will be visiting Calgary from Nov. 29th to Dec. 2nd. Are you planning any tournaments or cash games over this period? Is your place accessible by public transit? Please PM me the details as I would be interested in dropping by. Thanks.

I could probably set something up for that weekend. And yes my house is about 5 blocks from a C-train station in the south end of the city. You'll be staying downtown I presume? It's one C-Train away, about a 20 minute ride.
  • Jah, why wouldn't you just play in all the soft casino games?

I plan to play at the casinos as well; its always nice to play at home games where the atmosphere is a lot different. Rake free is always nice as well.

Thanks Dave for getting back to me. If you can PM me a contact number, that would be great. No need to set anything up, just wondering if you hold games on a certain night of the week and I could drop in if I am free that night.
