Bigger money games in Edmonton
Does anyone know where/when I can go to find a game bigger that $1/2 NL at local casinos? I'd be looking at even getting into a bigger PL game, Hold 'Em specifically (can't tolerate DC). I'm newer to the city from B.C. Also would be interested to know what type of players these bigger games have.

Starting tonight.....will have big games until Monday @ Yellowhead, as they have a big tourney this weekend. 2-5 for sure, PL will only be D.C. (Pineapple, Crazy, Holdem & PLO.......mainly PLO).
Otherwise, weekends are your only guarentee.......weekdays in Edmonton are hit and miss......best chance at RiverCree & Argyll.
Some good PLO games this weekend @ Yellowhead......5-10 PLO (D.C.) with over 100 G's on the table.
I was down $1500 in about 4 orbits. Played for 10 hours though and cashed out $3100.

Unlimited buy-in....has been a profitable game for me when I can make it. Must not let variance catch up with me.

Casino (Argyl) Edmonton - 3pm Saturday: $120.00 buy-in.....70-100 players....9000 chips, 20 minute blinds (I would recomend this one).
Yellowhead - 4pm Saturday: $60 Buy-in.....6000 chips, 15 minute blinds....70-100 players
Cash will be good on Saturday wherever you go for 1-2 NLHE....$50.00 min, $500.00 max everywhere I think. If you're a smoker, River Cree is nice....if not, Yellerhead or Argyll will certainly do as well.
