It's getting harder to count cards as they increase the decks and don't go deep with the cut to give you good penetration. I was able to count and make money playing BJ in Vegas recently but it is hard to find a good game. Most casinos now hit soft 17's which used to be a stand. Nothing like giving a free card to beat you.

I was in Niagara yesterday, All the shoe games had little signs that said, "No midshoe entry" ... looks like the don't like backcounting.
