Casino NIagara Trip Report
Ok I"m at the Sheraton on the Falls for a business conference. Drank at the Hard Rock till 2:30 last night. Get up at 6:30 and go play some poker. Get into a 6 handed 1/2 game at Niagara. Players are very passive wanting to limp in lots but won't call raises. I get no cards for 2 orbits and fold. I get 6 7 of hearts on the button during he next orbit. I raise it up after everyone limps. get 3 callers. Flop is 8 9 10 rainbow. check and next guy bets out. He bets out a lot of flops, he made it 10 to call. I raise to 30 just to let him know I came to play. He then pushes for $250 more. I only bought in for $100 so I call. He flips over 6 7 and my only hope for a win is running hearts. Chop the pot. Now I got the nice tight image I want.
Next hand get 8 4 off and raise it up. Everone folds. fold for a few more orbits now. Then I get 99. I liimp in under the gun and BB makes it 25 after everone limps in. I smell AK. I call and we got heads up. flop was 2 4 9 rainbow. he makes it $60 on the flop. I look around.... count out $60 and call. He announces he's pushing all in blind...... Turn card is a Jx. I call his bet (I would have regardless of the card). He turns over AA and is cursing me. double up. I go card dead for a few mor e orbits but limp in a few times with 33 and 44. don't hit the set so get out. I play for 2 hours, go to a meeting and was up just over a hundred and change. The table was so fishy weak passive I couldn't belive it. Gotta love hung over ex drunks for the night before.
Hope fully more tomorrow after I hit the casino again.

BTW Jah, I was sober at 6:30. Never really got drunk, drank a fair bit, but was never drunk.
If you win less than 2.5 big hands an hour you pay less with rake.
Do you adjust your game tighter when you're playing rake vs session fee?
I'm amazed at the play at the seneca 1/2 where it's $3 to see the flop and $1 at $20 and $1 at $40 to see so many people open limp in.... For the life of me I can't think of a single hand that I would open limp with given that structure ...
One thing I think we should add to the b&m sticky is rake structures.
We should also post a sticky of the rake in the clubs section!
