Western Fair (London)
The Western Fair's Carousel Casino is once again up and running. Their hours are Noon-4am. I believe it runs this year until the 18th which is longer than usual. They have 8 tables but for the most part there has been (4) 5/10 tables and (2) 10/20 tables running.
Rakes for 5/10 is a disgusting $7.50 and $10 for 10/20...unfortunately there is no session fee.
The dealers are fairly competent and they have chip runners who come to your table with the chips instead of having to run to the cashier.
I have seen quite a few Brantford regulars who have been putting in a lot of hours so far. There are usually 2-3 quality players at the 5/10 tables and a large number of players who also see a very high percentange of flops which results in some pretty large pots pre-flop.
I have been fortunate to hit some flushes on the turn and still getting called to the river. I have definitely benefitted from some horrific post-flop play by my tablemates resulting in a nice profit of $960 over 21hrs of play.
If anybody reads this today and is thinking of travelling to London make sure to call ahead as the power was out this morning and the room did not open at Noon.
