Rake Free Cash Game - Any Interest?
As I know a lot of forum members frequent the same clubs each week (including myself), instead of waste $100+ an hour in rake, just wondering if there is any interest in starting up a weekly $1/$2 or $2/$5 game somewhere in the GTA. Ideally it should not be located at a bar, etc. to avoid any problems with the authorities (no rake, no issues). Is anyone interested in hosting these weekly games? I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday night might be the best option for most players. Any interest??

Fwiw if there are not home venues another option is Hotel party rooms.
Most go in the range of $100 - $150 per night. I'm sure the players would donate $10 - $15 to play for the night.
Although I'm not sure if this falls under the "not-quite-legal" category.
I'll be willing to host the first home cash game, and I'll volunteer to deal as well. Give me a few days to work out the details with the Boss though first.
Exact rules/format would be nice to know as well.

Well, seeing as how Mon, Tue, & Wed aren't good nights for me, I doubt you can make many Micheal
We can use Roberts for the most part, but I can tweak the league rules to reflect cash game structure easily enough. And I suspect most players know most rules anyway. We can muddle through.
I'd be happy to co-host, as my place is well-equipped for single table quality game.
My Fridays are committed, but Saturday could be okay, and possibly other days.
Would be great to have a quality no-rake local game.

100/hr in rakes? not me, that would mean i actually won a pot. and well that doesn't happen too often
Did you get a chance to speak with the boss? Any idea when you may want to get this up and running? Looks like some interest.
Almost forgot about this thread. Let me discuss with the co founder and I'll post here again soon. Does seem to be some decent interest being generated to make it viable to start anyway.
You might consider getting a kid to deal for tips+$5/head. There are lots out there who would be happy to.

Seriously I can host 1 night a month and would be willing to travel a bit to play in this. I'd be up for it. Plus I can guarantee another 5 locals from here when I host.
