LAPT/EPT/APPT Steps On Stars

Just curious if anyone has really given these a shot and if there worth it. I know I've played a few but it seems like one would have to really devote a system if they were to work there way up. Ex... I guess dictate 500 into step 1. Play out and get as many tickets as possible. Repeat for step 2. etc. etc. Or am I just plain off on this idea. I personally think it would be rather interesting to get a package of such and be able to travel on a holiday and play overseas.

  • The PokerStars Steps SNGs have the worst -EV satellite structure I have seen so far. Even Fallsview Casino's live WPT satellites with increased fees and the badly structured $460 new Step 2 satellite are much better COMPARED to the Steps SNGs. I have set upon a goal of winning a satellite to the APPT, WPT or WSOP, but I will NOT touch PokerStars Steps with a ten-foot mouse! ;)

  • do you have the stats for the pokerstars sats (total % rake, etc.)?
  • Play their rebuy tourneys that leads into a big MTT instead.
  • I'm to lazy to do the math lol...

Edit: I fail... I can't get links to work..

Step 1 is 7.50 buy in with a 63 dollar prize pool.
Step 2 is 27 buy in with a 225 prize pool
Step 3 82 buy in with a 676 prize pool
Step 4 215 buy in with a 1806 prize pool
Step 5 700 buy in with a 6030 prize pool
Step 6 2100 buy in and pends what event for how many packages.
  • With the Steps the more of an edge you have as a player leads to quite a profit especially if you don't only play the 2ks. The mtts are a long grinding structure with very little reward so as to that I would not recommend them.
