  • Wow, two big tits in the running at Bellagio. I'm impressed. And good for Watts and Chorny, too.

Sorry, it's been a rough night.

    FYP :D

    GL Guys
  • Into dinner break and Watts is at 1.394 million (second in chips, just behind David Pham) with 47 players left. Go Watts!

Chorny is 7th in chips with 595,000.
  • Barry Greenstein vs. Glen Chorny

    Tuesday, July 15, 2008 11:33 PM PDT

Barry Greenstein raises from late position to 30,000, and Glen Chorny calls from the button. The flop comes Jclub.gif9diamond.gif4spade.gif, Greenstein bets 40,000, and Chorny calls. The turn is the 3club.gif, and both players check.

The river is the 4diamond.gif, Greenstein bets 100,000, and Chorny calls. Greenstein shows Qclub.gifQheart.gif for an overpair of queens, and Chorny mucks.

Greenstein takes the pot, building his stack to about 525,000, and Chorny drops down to about 335,000.
  • Mike "SirWatts" Watson Secures Monster Chip Lead, Leaves Peter Costa Crippled

    Tuesday, July 15, 2008 11:42 PM PDT

Peter Costa came in for a raise and Mike Watson made the call with Aheart.gif9heart.gif. Watson flopped the nut flush draw and called Costa's bet on the flop. Watson made his flush on the turn and bet 150,000, Costa called. Watson bet 400,000 on the river and Costa called for most of chips. Watson raked the pot, securing a monster chip lead heading into the last level of the night with 2.2 million while Costa was left with just about 100,000.
  • Looks like they are at the same table now as Chorny just elminated Costa... live updates are here:

Poker On World Poker Tour - Live Updates - Live Tournament Updates - Bellagio Cup IV

    Good luck both of you!
  • Forget winning a World Series Bracelet. Forget becoming a WPT, EPT or CPT Champion. Forget even that you are the 2006 Bristol St. GRAND CHAMPION.

Ladies and gentleman.... "SirWatts" is your "Blue Diamond Almonds - Bold Player of the Day"!!! (Check out the WPT for a Mike's winning interview with the soon to be Mrs. Zithal.)

Congrats on ending the day with the chip lead and 2.272 million in chips. 32 players remain.
  • Wow...I didn't even know they had a WPT event running in the middle of WSOP.

    gogogogogo!
  • Does anyone know if they will be broadcasting live today?
  • good luck and hope you make it to the final table. I guess all those Ryder Cups are paying off.

There was an all-time record of seven great Series going on in Las Vegas this summer, starting with the WSOP on May 28 (that a Canadian will win in November) and climaxing with the $15,000 WPT Bellagio Cup IV that SirWatts or Choron will win. :)

I'm surprised that WPT will still film the Bellagio final table tomorrow without a TV deal, and that Bellagio remains with the WPT, which both Greg Raymer and I believe will go bankrupt by next year! The next two WPT events, The Bicycle Casino Legends of Poker and Borgata, also seem to be business as usual.

In stark contrast, with the fourth WPT event of the North American Poker Championship, Fallsview Casino not only quickly cancelled all the WPT satellites but it is painfully obvious to me that upper management doesn't really care about poker and has no desire to bother with its own non-WPT satellites and $10K event. :'( Unless the satellites are miraculouly restarted this week, there is not enough time to generate enough seats to have a successful $10K event. Many of the dealers that have their 1-year contracts expiring before October may be let go without a big event. Fallsview Casino may become like Casino Brantford with going from hosting excellent poker tournaments to ZERO since last October and for the foreseeable future. :rage: What Fallsview should do is make an official announcement ASAP whether or not the $10K event will go on, then redeem the satellite vouchers so that the players can gamble that cash in the casino instead of remaining in suspended animation until October.
  • I trust he's using his Can of Nuts as his card protector today.

GL Mike, sincerely hope that you take this down.

p.s. Pinhead, we all know full well that he got his great poker skills over many beers with you.
  • Nice video on the WPT site of Barry's elimination hand with Mike & Glen flanking him.... and... no can of nuts...
  • Now he's really screwed.

He pulled Degenyamine in his table re-draw.

This guy has owned him online.

Time to get that monkey off your back.......
  • Rofl @ listing Chorney as being from the US, and not having any details on Sir Watts...

Hand 31 - Glen Chorny has the button in Seat 7 and Mike Watson raises to 66,000 from the cut off. Chorny reraises 180,000 total and Per Ummer asks how much he has left. Chorny informs him he has around 490,000 and Ummer folds. Watson thinks for a minute or two before moving all-in and Chorny quickly calls.

Chorny has Aclub.gifAheart.gif and Watson is behind with 10heart.gif10club.gif. The flop comes Kheart.gif5club.gif3diamond.gif and the aces are still ahead, but a 10diamond.gif on the turn gives Watson his set and leaves Chorny drawing to two outs. The river is the 5spade.gif and Chorny is eliminated in 14th place. Watson is up to 2,350,000.
  • Hand 37 - Mike Watson has the button in seat 6, Gabe Thaler raises to 70,000 from under the gun, Mike Watson reraises to 220,000, and Adam Geyer moves all in for 860,000. Thaler folds, and Watson calls.

Watson shows Aspade.gifKdiamond.gif and Geyer shows Aheart.gifQclub.gif. The board comes Kclub.gifJheart.gif2spade.gif5spade.gif4diamond.gif and Geyer is eliminated in 13th place earning $64,640.

Mike Watson runs his stack up to 3,500,000.

Took a bad beat from Watts and walked away in a huff. No handshake or good luck. I guess it was his first time getting aces cracked. LOL
