going to VEGAS!!!
Check this....
I'm going to vegas at the end of the month.
A little history...
I'm a semi decent player. Whatever that means. But I'd like to think I can handle my own at the table. I play mostly 6-18 max sng's on stars.. for the bare min (3$) and I'm takin my bankroll to Vegas!!! (about 800$) Many of you have been, and know what kind of regular tourneys are run and so forth, Maybe I should stick to cash tables I don't know.
But I'm wondering... given said bankroll... and your previous knowledge of the vegas experience. Does anyone have any advise as to what games I should look out for to play and or avoid. I'm looking at about 30 - 40 hours on the tables play time and willing to risk it all.
Any insight would be awesome.

have fun!
- Play cash games (limit or NL) on the weekend only. This is when all the incredibly bad tourists are out. Mon-Thur the tables are populated with grinder/pros and the games are +++ tougher.
- Avoid Harrah's properties for cash games - they take the max $5 rake + a $1 high hand bonus. Bellagio, Mirage, Wynn only take $4 rake, and no bonus.
- Check the structure sheets carefully for tourneys - there are many good ones (MGM, Planet Hollywood, Binions), but bad ones too (Luxor, Bally's, I.P.).
- There are poker rooms that offer various SNG's. I didn't play in any, but many reports indicate that the Mirage and Rio have good play for the price (and the juice is clearly defined).
- Get a player's card, and make sure to check in & out at each session. they don't tell you to do that, so that your comp points don't add up.
Hope this helps,
