Tell me about it. We played just over 13 hours yesterday, and 8 hours of my play was short stack poker and I never got a double up once, just got the blinds and antes. Day 2 starts at 2pm here which is 5pm in Ontario, I will update when I can.

Man what a feeling cashing in The WSOP :)

also thanks everyone for the support

  • GL Steve, wish you all the best on Day 2.
Its Canada Day, can't see how you could lose!!!

  • TAKE IT DOWN STEVE!!! All the Ching Hill sessions you've played have perfected your short stack play. Just do to those Vegas guys what you do to Garry every week!! ;)

Nicely done, in the money! Go deep Steve!! FINAL TABLE!
  • Greg Hartwick Moves Up The Leaderboard

After a Qd.gif10d.gif9s.gif flop Satoru Ishii checked and Greg Hartwick bet enough to set him all in. Ishii called, only to find that his pair and open-ended straight draw had been beaten to the punch by Hartwick's Ks.gifJh.gif and flopped straight. The board bricked the rest of the way and that pot pushed Hartwick's stack up to 181,000

Is this the same Greg? Chip Leader fwiw.

    I think it might be...

Greg hartwick - Orangeville Home Poker Tour Meetup Group (Orangeville, ON) - Meetup.com

GL Grag and Steve, this is awesome!
  • Yep that's him, from Bolton I believe...
  • Only one Greg Hartwick on the list of players, and he did go down with Steve, so yep must be him. Very nice jump in chips to be the new leader.
  • Looks like Steves Ching hill luck finally ran out, GG Steve. Guess you're railing Greg now...

    Richard Kirsch Eliminates Steven Kerr
Kerr moved all in from middle position and Kirsch called from the small blind. His A,Q had Kerr's A,6 dominated and when the board ran out 7,K,7,8,Q Kirsch took down the pot. Both players had nearly identical stacks and the chips had to be counted down before it was discovered that the stacks actually WERE identical. Both players had exactly 34,500, and Kerr's stack was pushed to Kirsch.

Recent eliminations just posted, Steve finished 137th for $3,492.
  • GG Steve! Well done making the money. Tell Greg we're railing him from here!!
  • Yes that is the same greg.

He has bleed a few chips now and is down to about 90k. Going back to rail him now.

I cashed out $3492 tax free. You do not get taxed until you make over 5k

VERY sweet! Nicely done Steve. See you when you get back!
  • Congrats Steve,

I didn't get taxed on mine, I was very surprised as well. I'm not quite sure what the law is as my payout was $5,500.
