Planning a trip back to Vegas with the wife

Heading back there in September. Is it too soon to find discount promotions for hotels and or hotel+flight deals for that time frame?

What are the best sights for locating such deals?

We might be able to just fly down on miles so we may only need a hotel. We are looking at the strip though.

Any info would be appreciated .

Holy cow... $57 CDN a night on average over 4 nights if I want to stay way down at the Stratosphere. That's frick'n cheap! That might pull me away from my mid strip aspirations.

Anyone stayed there?

I haven't ever stayed their personally cuz I just find it too far from all my favourite card rooms, however I have friends who stay there almost every visit and are happy with the price vs. quality.

FYI it seems there is a $465 difference on all the packeges for two people flying out of Toronto vs. flying out of Buffalo. You save an additional $75 flying out of Detroit vs. Buffalo.

But if you are from TO, you save 2 hour one way from Buffalo vs. Detroit, and that doesn't cost of gas into consideration.

I'm in Kitchener. I save less then an hour flying out of TO vs. Buffalo.

$465 for 1 hour each way = $232.50/hr... adjusted for gas maybe $220/hr.

Now Buffalo vs. Detroit is another hour and $75 cheaper... that's not worth it for me.
