Hi, just joined this forum and have been seeking some poker games in Markham, but there does not seem to be any games around here. I can't say I am a 'new' player, but just recently, just needing to find some games.

You may not find any games in Markham, but there are many within a short drive (1/2-1hr). Georgetown/Brampton.

Theres a poker meetup group for Markham. Dumbass booted me for not showing up to an event after 3 weeks.. nice.

Well, not showing up is quite the sin. I played that game last week, but the players are really bad. I got bad beat in two seperate tourneys twice. Not run all that well either and just can't deal with all the new players to the game asking if they can raise 200 on a reraise of 600.

They argued that for 30 minutes I swear.

Yeah, there appears to be a lot of games in Brampton, just sort of far.

...where is georgetown? lol

I do I do. I just annoyed, also, they play at a bar, and the guy who runs the place plays, but he gets up and leaves every 5 seconds...
Shuffling seems to take forever...
A lot of stupid banter...
I want a friendly environment, but they do not really take the game seriously.

It almost does not seem worth the $10 tourney they run.
I might go again if I really got the itch for a game.

Wasn't as if I said I was coming and didn't show up, I just hadn't attended any of the events so far.

Oh. That is odd. There is like 100 members in that meetup though and I doubt everyone has gone.

Interesting..I am all ears. How can we improve this game.. Lots of work for 1 guy but I am willing to make changes if you can suggest something!
