OLG Thousand Islands Casino?

First off, I didn't even know this casino existed.

Second, I didn't even know this place has poker. Sunday at 2pm there was a single table of 3-6 running with about 5 railbirds.

you waterloo people need to get outta the city once in awhile:)
  • Well I've never been from waterloo but I still never ever travel east.
  • Been there about half a dozen times. Very beatable, but only ever busy on Thurs-Sat nights.

    /g2
  • I go every couple of weeks or so. The 3/6 runs every day, starting at 11am. The 10/20 usually starts up late afternoon. During busier times, the 4/8 will often run, sometimes a 6/12 also. Most of the true ATMs have figured out by now that they are burning money and do not play as often, but there are still enough fish to make it profitable, with some soul destroying bad beats of course. Nice, cozy room with friendly staff.

So the pokerroom was full... why didn't you just say so! ;)

Been there 2 times... the only thing that really bothered me was the requisite deck changes every 2 hours... c'mon already...
  • I will be staying in Kingston for 2 weeks in January doing some training for work.

Does anyone know how far is this casino from the city, and are there options to travel there by transit?

I remember from past trips to Ottawa that the casino seemed to be in the middle of the highway.

I really wouldn't mind playing here every day while I'm around.

    Thanks.
  • I drive there from Ottawa, but most of the players are from the Kingston area. I know there are regular buses from Kingston. It's only a 25 minute trip. Try calling the casino and ask about buses: 1-866-266-8422
  • oh yeah, here's a tip: you can call ahead 2 hours; do it. (call 866 number, ask for poker room)
