What's up with all the spammers... Replying to week-old threads with gibberish?

Back to back bans by the mods around 11am today... quick work, but what purpose do these spammers have... Can't figure it out!

    Varience.

    Sometimes we'll go for weeks without any spammers, then get bombarded with spam for a few days straight.
