NB First Charity Poker Tournament

UCT Fredericton is hosting the first charity Poker tournamnent under the provinces new regulations this Saturday May 31st at the Capital Exhibit Center. It will be open to a maximum 120 players and based on that number the prize pool will be $4200 with a $2000 first prize.(Regulations stipulate a maximum 35% prize pool).

Entry fee is $100.

45% to charities which will be Canadian Cancer Society and Canadian Parapalegic Association.

Hi Paul,
Congratulations to your province for opening it's gaming laws. Can you give me any details regarding the gaming act and how the new law reads. Ontario is still in the dark regarding charity events. I want to send your new gaming law to our Ontario Attorney General to have ours modified.
