HU cash -EV

I just want to see if i really sux at HU or is thing something you need to have huge edge on the villian to be profitable.
I did some HU action at ongame, site fairly soft.
I run into this callingstation luckbox.
HU villian brought in for 13bux
I brought in for 20bux
he manage to luckbox his way to stack me for full $20.
I rebuy knowing i'm against a fish
after total of 107 hand, i process to take my money back, plus all his money.
I was shock that i have total $39.70
so i endup losing $0.30
now, since i have brought in $40, and villian has $13
i assume $13.70 went into the rake
that is average $2-$3($0.10-$0.15 rake) per pot, which sound right for 20NL HU.
It just seem that if villian is any half decent at poker, it's -EV game.
what do you guys think?

  • Well, what's the rake structure in the game?

I know players that beat 2/4 nl for $50-$75/h longterm, so it's certainly beatable.

i can't find the rake structure at hollywood website
    maybe moose will know better
for higher level, and rake and stack ratio would be bigger difference then micro level.

maybe i should rephase, microlevel HU -EV?
    hey, who's playing at ongame?
wanna do a bit of micro HU :)

    50nl 4-6 tabling 50$/hour

good hu players make about 1buy in/hour long term
dont play small stakes hu without rakeback though
    (32k hands = 1600$ rake)

i did not game select over this sample but i'd suggest quitting within 40 hands if your opponent is not terrible because theres plenty of droolers looking to lose the rest of their bankrolls on hu tables
