So what is the action like in Edmonton? I may be moving there in the not too distant future (business) and would like a heads up on the poker scene (pleasure). Thanks.
New one should be open in 2005. As for poker action, it's like vegas in canada. As far as I'm concerned. 4 poker roooms, another on its way. Tournaments every weekend. And between 3-5 during the week.
Lots of half half games .(30min omaha, 30min. holdem)
Big games are hard to come by thou. at best 1-2 games 10-20 up a night and usually and different casinos. Had a good 1-5 pot limit going for years until some guys went broke.
4/8 half and half games at yellowhead casino in edmonton can be good.unfortunately half/half prevails at 3/4 of the casinos.only the palace casino in W.E.Mall offers straight holdem and generally 3/6 only at that.But tourneys are common,and of various ranges.There must be a very large per capita poker population here,because i believe we boast the largest casino in the nation and certainly the most poker tables.I believe it is like 8 tables at yellowhead alone in a single poker room?

The $4-8 games are pretty soft.
