Bell Curve Poker

I have noticed a recent trend lately with my cash game play. If I was to plot my progression during the night, it would take the shape of a bell curve:

Quick facts about the normal curve

I typically start off the session playing TAG poker. Once I am up on the night, I loosen up significant and slowly bleed chips. By the end of my session, I am usually close to even on the night. I usually leave at a pre-set time so I am not leaving when I am back to even.

Has anyone else noticed a similar gap in their play? If I am down on the night, I continue to play TAG poker and can usually work back my stack. Hopefully this observation will help me improve my ROI.

  • I usually start off laggier than i finish, so many times i'm in a trench before I climb the hill

Sounds quite like me....sample size not too big, but my most recent 15 visits to BCC, 13 of those time I've found myself down a varying degree before clawing my way back up.
