  • Wow, this thread really died after I posted...Guess I'll be playing in the satellites at Casino Niagara since they seem to be having it this year.
  • Hi everyone, As always once the WPT structure is released. I will be organizing satellite to $1200.00 at falls view,

I personaly dont want the game to last more the 2.5 hours because i want to put two games at same night. if anyone interested please private me your email address, you will receive my email when its organized.

    Rake free in mississauga.
  • I am thinking of having one in Scarborough...or two...or three. Anyone interested PM me. I also know of someone have sit & go's in Whitby.

    RM.
  • Lets wait until the official satellite structure from 13Cards before planning any satellites as there were hints that the $640/$1200 structure might be changed for this year.

DM, I'll be interested in a couple of Scarborough
  • Oh yeah definately interested in the Scarborough ones too
  • yes im also interested in scarbrough games. yea hopefully we gona have this structure release soon so we get the exciting going again. so we got covergae in mississauga, scarbrough, for sure waterloo areaaa this year. perfect. i just hope we get enough interest this year. ( last year the only regulars who always participate for satellite was blondfish, the_game and animoux) this year looks like more serious poker players. nice. every wednesday night at my place.
  • A Georgetown player is willing to host a RAKE-FREE, 100%-legal WPT league every Sunday afternoon. The proposed plan is to have around 10 weekly ~$200 games for ten members, where $100 of each buy-in is awarded for that day's tournament (50%-30%-20%) and the other ~$100 is reserved for the WPT NAPC $10,300 seat. The player with the highest points at the end of the league gets the seat. The league winner keeps 50% of any WPT winnings, and the remaining 50% is split among the league members.

There are a few spots left, so if you or anybody you know would be interested in joining a WPT league, please PM or contact me ASAP.

I hate these things. Would be different (maybe) if it were a bunch of close friends playing this, but why would anyone want to give 50% of their action to strangers? Talk about rake.

Information about Fallsview's approved satellite structures is on the way. Unfortunately, I can not give the details today, on here, but there will be information available from the Poker room shortly. I am now on vacation until June 6th (leaving for Vegas in 3 hours!!) and hope to be able to jump right into things when I get back to work next Friday.

Will the information be available on the FV website anytime soon? Or is the best bet to get it from the PR at FV or wait until you get back.
  • What's the "Page Ranking"? From what I know, the rake/fee seems higher and the multi-qualifier satellite is interesting, but I'll post my analysis once I know the details. Hopefully, the rake-free WPT league or forum home game satellite will start this week. Otherwise, I guess I'll have to go to Fallsview this Sunday to play a raked satellite. Anybody else interested in car pooling?

I meant to say Poker Room, somehow it became Page Ranking. I guess that is what happens when you have 6 different tabs and 4 different browser windows open at the same time.

Not this Sunday..but maybe another weekend would work for me.
  • I'd like to play some sats that don't involve the winner paying the losers if he/she makes money in the NAPC.

it's not you. for some reason the poker forum is changing the letters "P" and "R", when written together, into Page Ranking. it's starting to get slightly annoying graham. you may want to fix this glitch ;)
  • Agreed, it's irritating when generic words or acronyms are auto-converted or auto-linked, and there is no option to edit it. Test:
    Page Ranking
    Page Ranking
    'Page Ranking'
    "PR" :(

  • I am still down for WPT sats (Sauga, Scarlem, the casino, wherever...) Just get the word out. I don't check this page every day, so don't assume I'm not interested. If I am not busy, and I see the games being promoted, then count me in. I'll try and log in here more often...

Game - I can probably make some Wednesday nights...but I don't want to do any shares (which I think you said you do). BTW - did anyone from your games last year qualify for the WPT?

I'd prefer to just play a 10-person sat where everyone puts in $120 (no shares involved), and then you could just run a cash game afterwards.

I can't be in any leagues because I am too busy with work to commit to anything...but I definitely want to get back in the WPT at Fallsview, and satting in is the only way that is going to happen... Saving a few trips and not having to play the bingo-fest Step A's is preferable...
  • well if all players dont want a share then im cool with that. im always down for take the money and run with it...so yea we dont have to put shares.

yea it looks like wednesday night we get enough players. we see how it goes. remember to private message me u r email so i add you to my email list. sales@pvpvideo.ca
  • I personally prefer shared winnings, especially if I know the participants, but I don't mind keeping the whole $1.4 million first prize for myself either. ;) The important thing to keep in mind is to be flexible so you can play in at least one rake-free satellite instead of having no choice but high-raked turbo satellites.

I wasn't one of the winners of last year's WPT home game satellites, but I did win money for the participants of a home game satellite for Casino Brantford.
  • I have now posted the new satellite structure. Let the home game satellites begin!
