Hello from Victoria BC!
Hey everyone,
Wow...How on earth have I not come across this forum yet? Its funny because for the past couple days I have been talking non stop to some of my friends about how online poker just seems to be a bit under par in Canada. I've been browsing for a few minutes now and this seems like the primary hangout for most Canadian players eh? Very cool! I believe the owner is Graham? congrats so far on a successful community man.
Like most of you on here I play a bit of poker online but lately the opportunity to build a career in different areas in poker has reached an all time high whether its affiliate marketing for sites or becoming a poker entrepreneur from scratch.
I still think Canada seems to be a bit underground when it comes to exposure and i hope this changes within the next few years.
You guys will hear from me a lot more for sure but for now,

Hey!
As an aside, you do realize that Canada has a bunch of pros both B&M and online making names for themselves right?
2 of the top 3 players at the EPT Monte Carlo this year were Canadian (including the winner who posts on here), as was the runner up to the Main Event of the WSOP last year.
I think in terms of high-profile poker players we are doing really good in comparison to pretty much any other nation except the US.
Category:Canadian poker players - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (it's missing Maxine and Glen from this years EPT event)
In fact, the Waterloo area of Ontario is considered a poker hotbed by many in the international poker world as people like Timex, Choron and other very successful players come from there.
Not meaning to pile on so early into your posting career.. but you should be proud to be a Canadian poker player and know that we compete on the international stage. GO CANADA!
All the best,
Graham
Milo- Id be an Oak Tree.
Waterloo? Not a clue where that is bro lol
Zunni74- You know i agree with everything you said and its true, we do produce a good amount of players i just think they dont get enough recognition compared to the like you said the top nation US. Im completely proud of being Canadian and i just hope we are recognized even more in the coming years!
The forum has had some issues with new members spamming everone via PM.
