If I was doing a ton of sit and gos and tournaments a month (hundreds+) I would certainly invest in it. I find even the 5 searches a day can provide useful information - for instance if you face someone who has a steep long term downhill graph it is probably best not to bluff them or even semi-bluff them.
My approach has been to use all the tools that are legal, and tell stars what I'm using.
They will tell you the day they make it illegal and you can adjust to the new rules.
For example I used starspy while it was legal.
The day they emailed me that it was now illegal I stopped using it.
