Pass to this weekends poker workshop in KW and WSOP tournament

I actually won two tickets to the event posted in the other thread. I checked with the hosts and I can transfer the code to anyone I like. I am a greedy bastard, so I am going to give the auction off the other one to the highest bidder.

Offer me CPF bux, $ on PStars, friendship for life, first born, etc. Bidding will end at 10am on Friday the 28th, when I will PM the winner the GC code. Here are all the details on what you are bidding for.
Hi,

You recently registered for the Just Jacks Poker Camp contest on
KoolFM. Although you did not originally win, we have had winners
decline their seats as they are not able to attend.

We do not want these promotional seats to go to waste so we redrew
from the contest list and you won. Below is the GC# that will give
you free entry to the camp this coming Saturday March 29/08 at the
Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel. You must pre-register for the camp at
Plan. Play. Process. Profit. - Just Jacks Poker Academy.
<snip - copy and paste from the website to save you time>
Each poker camp consists of a live training session followed by an online tournament. The tournament is part of the camp curriculum and used to test the poker skills of each camp participant. You will only play against the people that attended the camp with you.

The winner of the tournament receives a $10,000 buy-in to the 2008 WSOP Main Event. If the winner is not 21 years of age or unable to travel to Las Vegas then a $10,000 buy-in to a WPT Main Event at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls will be awarded.

  • Seriously?!? Nobody wants a better than 1:250 chance to get a buyin to a $10,000 event? The max will be 250 ppl, never mind it seems that the program is seriously undersold, and not 100% of the attendees will make the game.

    Going once ....
    Going twice ....
  • I'd take it, but I'm busy all day tomorrow.
  • ....rigged
  • I would enjoy going, but alas, methinks the wife has other plans for Saturday. I'll try to talk her out of it though and see what happens.

I was even going to offer my unwavering gratitude too...sigh

Not that I doubt anything.....but as this is an online event....is it possible that there are people taking part in this event that are not part of the 250 KW people? Ie I wouldn't be surprised if there are 4 different groups of 250 online at the same tourney. Maybe I'm just skeptical. Does any of the info state 1 in 250 chance of winning a seat, or that one of the 250 people who attend the event will win a seat? Just wondering.
  • Wait..

Does it cost $90? If so, no thanks... but if your ticket's free? Sure, I'll go!

    Mark
  • If you sign up as joe-blow, it does cost $90, but the code I have makes it free.

I will extend the deadline until 2pm. So far, with an offer of nothing, Mark is leading the bidding.

True, I have no idea if the freeroll is exclusive. I need to install the software tonight to look at the tournament details. Anyone have Everest already installed who can look it up? Sunday, 1pm EST.
  • Wow am I ever sorry I missed the boat to bid on this... I'd love to go.

So that's what you are calling the one-handed mambo these days?
  • Before this thread degrades further, either post or PM me and I can send the GC code for the free admission. First one gets it.
  • I'll play the tourney if somebody wants to go to the seminar! :)
  • Unfortunately for me, I'm busy on Saturday in another WSOP seat tournament, but I hope that the forumers going will post a review of both the camp and its WSOP league. Have fun.
    First one gets it.
  • I'm kind of surprised that people arnt jumping on this..

isnt paying 90 bucks to win a seat to WSOP ME a steal? or maybe i've been out of the loop and theres way better deals out there?
  • Just a note: game is at 1700 GMT, which I am pretty sure is 1pm EDT.

Anyone with the everest software know where to change the time zone setting? I clicked on every wrench I found but none of them had this option.

Yes it is. Right now we are GMT-4.
