I feel like a yo-yo
I have been playing poker for a little over a year now, don't have a big bankroll, been playing mostly $2.25 to $5.50 6 to 18 player NL sit n go games. My question is do you guys and gals run into big swings in your games, I mean like this month I have gone up to 11 games in a row with out cashing and then I go and cash in 15 out of the next 20, now I an back in a rut 6 and counting, and I can play the best poker I know how and I keep getting sucked out time and time again, is this normal? I have been reading books on poker, try to play tight but these swings keep on happening. Any advice would be appretiated.
Thanks for letting me rant, getting frustrated with this crap.:)

sometimes it can be hell..i've been through runs where i've been up 4-5k in one day to dropping 6k in a session.
sounds like you have pretty decent br management, keep it up!
your best bet is to change up your limits and games,
for instance, enter some cheap omaha sng's, play some limit sng's or cash games.
It sounds like all you play is NL, you need to round off your game a bit, try some different games, styles, and become a better all around player.
good variance please come back sooooooooooon, i miss you!!!!!!!!!!!
keep good spirits(or try to) during the bad run, i am following that by obv and others on this forum and other forums i am on, it worked the last game i cashed in, i got sucked out on but typed in the chat box, i was ahead and i am still happy with my play, noone fked with me after that.
It has nothing to do with the limit, it has everything to do with poker.
the lower levels like 1 dollar and 5 dollar have more rookies and people who have no clue, thus more suckouts against you, thus higher variance,
but on the flip side there are idiots on 10 dollar and 20 dollar sit n go's but not as much,
anyone else agree with this?
thats what i just notice mind you
I play in a lot of 60-100 dollar sngs and that happens a lot less then in the lower limits
To a degree.. yes.. higher variance, but in my experience, it's never as much variance's fault as people like to credit it for.
Examine your own game, save hand histories, discuss with friends, read more books... I'm not saying you're bad or nothing... but we need to remember as collective that we're often very easy on ourselves and our mistakes..

Dude, I admire your courage to be able to play that level for an entire year.
If you really were, you'd have a better idea of the variance monster that lurks in everyones closet.
omg, I agree with you twice in the same post. Sigh, things aren't like they used to be..
I guess you're growing-up son, but now I have the dilemma of what to do with my I'm with stoopid T-shirt for the RCup.
Again thanks to everyone.
