Welcome to the site... where in Canada are you? What games do you play?
Thanks Graham.
I live in Saskatchewan and I mainly play texas hold'em. Sometimes I try other games but try to stick to hold'em. I like cash headsup games, but I had a really bad run at those for a while, so I'm tryin to work my BR up again from low limit sng's (I prefer cash games, but the sng's will give allow me to swing a bit).
Once I get my BR back up to around $600 I'll give headsup another shot. But my goal really is to just play sng's having 20x buy-in and then getting it to about $1g's maybe even keep going, or I could take some out.

How about you guys?
I play a bit of everything to be completely honest, though most times I am at the tables working on my heads-up game lately. My best game is probably $1/$2NL Holdem, but I would eventually like to get away from the cash tables and stick more with the MTTs and SNGs as there is a lot less variance. Starting to get more into PLO (Pot Limit Omaha), but really I am all over the map which is probably the biggest hole in my game.
Well Graham, changing things up is okay.. But I guess it could create "holes" as you say.
Chuckie, I play on Pokerstars.. and a little bit of DoylesRoom now.. I'm looking to change it up though from all the bad beats on pokerstars. I mean.. you wouldn't believe your eyes if you saw all the bad beats I've had today.
Graham -- Yeah I think $1/$2 or 0.50/$1 are my best limits for NL hold'em. Although I don't have a Bankroll to support it, so I dread going there. As for my sng turnouts right now.. I've been getting my a$$ handed to me(just think for a minute, it's pokerstars) . Yeah I've said enough. Bad beats left and right. I lose to bad players more than I lose to good players because of there suckouts - well I guess it is pokerstars though eh? Gotta keep those bad players comin back eh
I am always looking for new ways to step my game up.. Trying to learn from mistakes and whatnot.. But man, when I play a solid SNG game, and lose like 15 in a row (over the course of like 3 days), and mainly from being suckedout on... I mean it's unreal. I play top hands and get owned...
I seem to have the worst runs on pokerstars (personally). I think you need to experiment with sites and find which works for you. Finding the right site to play on is key!
To step my game up I practice my weakest areas... over the last few months I have really been focussing on HU play, and I have seen a huge improvement in my confidence at the table.
i think everywhere is the same
if you search for all my post, i used to cry alot....lol
interesting exprience
i start off SNG, and work great, then hit the downturn hard.
i deposite 400 to play, grind it out to 800. then down to 10bux ......
i move to cash game, and got lucky, start off good. so i was on the edge of bursting out.
now i play at 100NL,......phew
after all that tears and metally rape by fulltiltpoker house special....lol I LIVE on.
personally, i recommand you leave pokerstar. it's a good site, but it does nothing for you, unless you are a high volume player, and make it to supernova.
i would find site with good deposite bonus that is clearable at your limit.
make sure you signup for rakeback if site offer it.
after you done with bonus whoring to builtup your roll. stick to a site that offer rakeback, and you enjoy playing.
good luck bro.
i write daily journal on how i do in my blog.
if you got time, check it out. and if you see anything that is out of line, drop me a comment.

i was wondering what level of HU cash
and what were your rakeback like? compare to same level of 6max and fullring.
I typically play from $5-$30 HU (with the occassional $50 in there from time to time). I don't have any rakeback accounts, as I think it would probably make me play even more, and I am always trying to cut back on my play.
Okay, thank you very much graham and chuckie. I will look into changing over to FullTilt seeing how much everyone likes it. I have a friend who will give me a promo code to get rakeback and depo bonus.... well a guy.. not really a friend.. but oh well.. He'll probably get somethin for referrin me :P w/e. I get no loss. I hope I can have more fun there than at PS :P
100NL = 0.50/1.00 NL
by the way, for rakeback, i would advise you to go to big affiliate
you don't want to signup and get screw over.
i use raketherake.com
very reliable
if you find this reliable, i won't mind if you ask me for my account number and put me down as referral
Okay, thanks for clarifying chuckie... wow.. I just thought of someting about the 50c $1 NL HU... My friend went there with $100 and took $400 off one guy in like less than 15 minutes.. lol.. Guy I swear was prolly just a higher stakes player on tilt. My friend didn't need skill to win this: Example:
Friend has: 99
Other has: 46
Friend raises pre.
Other re-raises. Friend calls.
Flop 94K
Other bets.
Friend calls.
Turn 94K K
Other checks
Friend Checks.
River 94KK 3
Other All in $75
Friend calls.
Show of cards. Full house 99KKK takes 'er down $200. Ez eh? :P

HU is different then FR or 6 max
it's hard to hit a pair,
it's nice to hit a set and get all the money in.
if your friend didn't have a set, it's hard for him to conintune
i only play HU tourny, and did ok with it.
Cash game HU, i am not sure if i can beat the player and the rake. so i haven't try it.

Oh, okay. Well yeah cash game I've sat at a table with $50 and other person with $50. We were about even for an hour and ended up both losing $10 to rake.. lol...
Cash games are totally diff then Tourny HU. And yeah well re-raising with 46 pre isn't good. The guy was on tilt-- he went all in like 5 times losing em all pretty much exept prolly 1 :P.
