Hands per hour
I'm wondering what people expect from their dealers as far as hands per hour go. Most people I ask say that the good dealers get 30 an hour on average. I get about 27-28 in hold'em, and when I was dealing omaha a year and a half ago, I would get 24 a hour eerily regularly, like 9 out of 12 shifts.
Which casino's have the best dealers? Which have the worst? How do the private clubs compare?

Seneca Casino has the best dealers, in terms of speed and customer service. They get to keep their own tips, so it is in their interest to treat you right and maximize the number of hands.
Despite having automatic shufflers, Fallsview Casino deals less hands per hour than Seneca. Due to the session fee and pooled tips structure, speed and customer service is not as good as Seneca. I have only noticed one dealer at Fallsview (Vince) who whips out the cards fast. Too many dealers are distracted watching the high-definition TV screens or the even higher-definition "scenery" >:D walking around the 365 Club.
Poker clubs have a more leisurely and informal atmosphere, so most clubs deals even less hands per hour than Fallsview. In a couple of clubs where the dealers are experienced, whips out the cards fast, keeps the action moving and are working solely on tips, then the number of hands per hour can be the highest.
I've never worked in a casino, just a few underground clubs. You have worked in casinos before? Which ones? Are you still employed by a casino, or how long have you been away from it?
I'm planning on bringing a resume out to Brantford Casino. A couple of questions about that: Should I hide my experience in the UG clubs? Is it that different, dealing in a casino as opposed to a UG club? Any tips you could give me to raise my chances of getting employed?
