Did I play this too tight?

I went with the "general rule" of you check down to the river... but I wonder after the bet of 1k which obiviously showed he didn't had the queen... should I raise there and try to make more money or it's too risky?

(Note... I didn't raise PF ... was it a chicken move as well?)

Bet the flop dude, you've got a very vulnerable overpair. Why are you letting villian hit a Q+ to take the pot?

And WHY doesn't 00Dude have the queen? It looks like a cheap-o trips value bet.

You need to be way more aggressive.

    Reshove preflop possibly?
  • That's what I thought... for some reason after I just flat called I felt bad hehe...

It's often my problem I don't play aggressive enough and I become a checkbot... oh well...

Thanks for the advise I'll remember that !
  • Shove preflop

You should not feel obliged to check to the river at this point in the tournament (I am assuming that this is not at the bubble or on the final table). You should have been more aggressive preflop or on the flop. I would say you were very lucky to be playing against such bad players in this pot.
  • so basicly.. the calling thing is only good when you're close to the bubble or on the bubble and the eliminated player will put you in the money?

Actually it is the checking to the river thing that is something that you do when you are close the bubble or at the final table of a multi-table tournament. The other point here is that you don't really want to be in a multi-way pot to the river with pocket jacks. That just means you are more likely to have all three overcards out against you and/or multiple sets that can be hit.
