BCC Report
So I did manage to hit the BCC last Wednesday night from about 9:30 pm-1 pm. Called ahead and got my name put on the list and was seated immediately upon arrival at a 2/5 table. Bought in for $160. Small world...seated at the table were some guys I used to know as regulars at Elmira Raceway ~20 years ago. It was kind of funny to see them and chat. Anyway, table was 7-9 handed most of the time I was there. Some people were stepping out for meals etc. A few decent players but nothing special. I posted right away and caught some decent cards. The dealer (Kristy) was fairly hot so that helped as well! Seemed to get respect when I raised at the table and showed down mostly premium hands. Caught AA early and dragged a small pot when a guy called me all the way down with middle pair because he was "sure I had AK". Got a BB special in a multiway pot with Q10o when the flop came 9 J K rainbow. Got in a checkraise on the turn, fired out on the river and got called by a flopped 2 pair. Then caught a bunch of suited connectors that never really panned out. I did play one absolute idiotic hand because of the donk that raised (some old guy from Mississipi, there playing with his Canadian internet-love connection). I was in the big blind and UTG raised. Couple of callers and I get K6h and decide to see what happens. I flop bottom pair and a backdoor flushdraw and there was no ace on the flop. I check, he bets..call, call, fold, I call. Turn is a blank, I check he bets.folded to me and I call. River is a king no flush/straight possible so I've rivered two pair. I checkraise and get re-raised so I call.. he tables KK for the set. I am stupid... I tighten up again and didn't really have much to play after that except AQs, I raise, get 3 callers...flop comes QQ3 rainbow. I was in early position and figured that if I checked they would all become suspicious so I led out and everyone folded (which almost never happened). Any comments on the bet, or should I have played this differently? Left this table after about 1.5 hours and sat at a short handed 5-10 LHE table with a stack of $103 (what I had left from my buy-in at the 2/5 table) Ran it up to $210 with some c-bets after showing down AKs after flopping 2 pair and getting called down by a couple all the way down, and with a straight. Overall, except for that idiot move with the K6s I felt I played decently and left up $50 for the night. I wouldn't be afraid to sit 5/10 again there.
Oh, one goofy thing at the 2/5 table, the old American decided he would donk off his stack near the end and began raising/re-raising in the dark and playing 'til the river. His last hand he re-raised himself all-in to the tune of $50, on a flop of AKX rainbow and rolled over 3-7 or some such garbage to lose to AK held by one of my old racetrack buddies.
Service was decent, dealers were all competent and friendly (Kristy, Eugene, Rosa and one other Asian/Phillipine lady). Zunni were you at my table that night?

Comments
Though I basically live at the casino, I had to promise the wife that I'd forgo the casino trip this past week due to the fact I was coming to Montreal. (Montreal Casino Trip Report is being written currently) I will likely have to miss this week as well because I get home tomorrow..
So not this time
Let me know next time you are coming (in advance if you can) and I'll re-arrange my poker night schedule with the wife and we'll toss some cards together.
Oh side note, I'm also working on a 5/10 vs. 2/5 things I've noticed post. I'll finish it and put it up later this week.
Cards may change but the players won't.
Here's hoping your hands will out run the chasers.
