Partnership With Chan Poker / Win a Wii!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to take a moment to welcome our new partner Chan Poker to the site. Chan Poker will be handling ALL PokerForum.ca tournaments and CPF buck transfers for at least the next 2 months.

So whats in-store for Chan Poker?

1) PokerForum.ca League - points will be tallied based on games twice weekly (see this thread for how the schedule will look). At the end of 2 months we will have a final game where the winner will walk away with a Nintendo Wii!

2) CPF Buck Transfers - Chan Poker will handle all CPF Buck transfers at the rate of $10 per every $200CPF. To redeem CPF bucks on Chan Poker, please email info@pokerforumcanada.com with your Forum Username and your Chan Poker username. The email must come from the address which you registered for the forum with just to ensure that you are who you say you are. Due to the high demand experienced last month and so everyone gets a chance to play we will limit these transfers to $1000CPF/month.

3) Tournament w/ Johnny Chan - One of the things I am most excited for at Chan Poker is we have worked out a deal where 10 time WSOP bracelet winner Johnny Chan himself will come and play in one of our weekly tournaments. We are still finalizing the exact date, but that game will involve bounties on Johnny, myself, and all moderators on the site. More on that will be released soon!

What do you need to do to get started?

Create your account on Chan Poker (You must use the links on ths site if you want us to transfer CPF bucks into your account as accounts registered through this link will be tracked to our campaign). If you already have an account on the Ongame Network (ie. Pokerroom, Mansion Poker, Hollywood Poker etc.) please use a different email when creating your account.

If you already had a Chan Poker account but still want to receive CPF buck transfers, send me an email (info@pokerforumcanada.com), and I will talk to my rep at Chan Poker.

I will post a little bit more about Chan Poker later, including a review of their software, so stay tuned for more updates. As more updates are received I will add them to this thread. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread.

Ongame and the iPoker network are pretty much tied for the busiest networks. They don't take Americans which means if you go on the site around 7pm EST on a Friday or Saturday night you can prey on all the UK fish.

Here are the top 5 taken from PokerScout.com:
    1 PokerStars
    2 Full Tilt Poker
    3 PartyPoker
    4 iPoker Network
    5 Ongame Network
  • Congratulations! I'm looking forward to checking it out.
  • Nice going on the deal. Wow, how great would it be to knock out Chan? I'm having visions of Matt Damon in Rounders.

Wow ditto. What happened to Poker Trillion's sponsorship? Their section and posts now seem to be hidden from the forum index.
  • sounds good chanpoker looks like it will be a good site. I will try it out real soon.

Poker Trillion was a paid sponsorship and I thank them for their support. Unfortunately, they did not want to renew for this month based on the offer we provided to them so the deal ended as of yesterday.
  • good job graham.

now if the cashier screen would come up instead of going to your email it would be a start.

do i need to change settings on my computer???
  • any deposit bonuse code for chan poker?
any monthly bonus like other ongame network?
  • Is there a refer a friend deal?

  • Super....can't wait to check out the site
  • Does Chan Poker work with Macs?

I'd love to play in the league, but I believe that PC's are a worse investment than time shares and extended warranties combined.

They have an Instant Play version that will work with Mac's
  • Noticed that Chan Poker's deposit options are pretty limited.

Click2pay (and you get dinged on currency exchange)
Visa most cannot use (TD will work though)
    Mastercard most cannot use.
  • hobbes beat me 2 it.

that was the next complaint which is still after if you can get the cashier screen to show.

    That's very brokebackish.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  • Is there a refer a friend deal?

They do not have a refer a friend deal yet, but they are working on it.

I'm confused. I already have a mansion account, I used the same email as I used on the forum to register. I do not have a Chan Poker account. What should I do?

Other than the CPF bucks is there a problem with me using the same email address as my mansion account? I'm not planning on annoying everyone with useless posts to save myself 10 bucks, but I do want to make sure that I will be eligible to play in the Johnny Chan game!!!!!

Maybe I wasn't clear... I mean your Chan Poker account should use a different email address than your Mansion Poker account. Nothing to do with your forum email address.
  • A few questions:

Click2pay, why would u get dinged with cur exchange on this? Doesn't c2p take care of the fx, which they use a proper fx for. At least they have in the past.

Also will there be an issue if we signup for chan using a dif email than our c2p email? Some sites have an issue with that.

    thx

I could only see a CDN$ option when I went to sign up (haven't yet), so someone must be paying the exchange differential of approx 2%.

Everything I do online (except Trillion) is in USD.

    Sorry, I'm still confused.

"Other than the CPF bucks is there a problem with me using the same email address as my mansion account? "

My click2pay account is registered with the same email as mansion and the forum, don't want to open a new email just for chan poker, and then possibly have no way to deposit.

My click2pay account is registered with the same email as mansion and the forum, don't want to open a new email just for chan poker, and then possibly have no way to deposit.

Ongame only allows one account per email address... ie. if you have created an account at Mansion with one email address, then you can't create another account at another Ongame site with the same email address. As far as the click2pay, I haven't heard of any issues using it even if the email is different from the email the account was registered with.
  • Click2pay if you are in canada you use CND$. When you make a deposit it's in Canadian dollars. When you transfer $50 US$ to chan poker they will say it's $51.50 (or whatever) out of your account. When you cash out of Chan poker the $50 they will pay you out at $49 (or whatever) cnd back into your click2pay. They rape you on the exchange. They need to add moneybookers to their line up then i'm in. The only reason I transfered to poker trillion was because of the CPF partnership.
