anyone interested in being sponsered to play online?

hey gang

since i am a member of 2 uk poker forums i thought i would pass this opportunity along to some of you who may be interested, i will pass on the link and info to anyone who wants to be sponsered to play poker, i will tell you up front there are some things you have to pass (of course) before they will sponser you, first is you have to prove you are a winning player either through one of the poker sites they are affilitated with or one of the sites you are on by sending them your results from opr.

if you do sign up to one of their affiliated sites you have to be a winning player over 30 days with so many hours.

if you pass all the requirements they will start you at a bankroll of usually 50 dollars a day to play cash or sit n go's, mtts do not count!!!, if you can log in 40 hours a week or 20 hours playing 2 tables and win at least 250 dollars over 30 days they will up your bankroll to 200 dollars a day and then if you win a certain amount within 30 days and log in the hours you get 500 dollars a day bankroll.

all the this time you get a personal poker coach who will help you along the way and give you advice, the people who set this up on the u.k. forum anyway are previous sunday million winners and other big online winners.

if anyone interested i will pass on the site which will give you all the details.

neither i or negmike (midnight mike on here) have signed up as we cannot put in the hours required but my u.k. chums who have signed up have had no complaints so far. ( i guess not when your getting payed to play).

i think some of you on here would do good in this, hobbes? or schabs? ( not to single anyone out). as far as i know it is open to us canadians as one canadian from edmonton is involved in this program, he starts his 50 dollar a day bankroll next month.

  • can i have a link?
  • What's the catch? Do they take a percentage of your overall winnings or something? Is there a certain level they want you to play in? Is it only NL games and SnGs or limit as well?

I would consider it if I thought I could put in that kind of time, but I doubt I can right now...and the fact that I'm taking a royal ass kicking on a couple of sites lately doesn't help either. Still, would be interested in getting the link to check it out.
  • how much of the money they are giving you do you get to keep? how the does the payout structure work? I wonder how they define a winning player?
  • Maybe it's just because I've seen so many scams in my lifetime, but is it just me that looks at something like this suspiciously?
If I'm a winning player and can prove it to them, why would I want to give up a percentage of my winnings? Seems to me sorta like the chicken or the egg sorta thing. If I'm not yet a winning player, then maybe I need help, but then they don't want me. If I'm already a winning player, then they want me, but why would I need them?
If you understand what I just said, I'm amazed...
  • I won't give up any of my profits. The thing is if your a winning player but could be a lot better how do you get better outside of coaching. There are several sites around (stoxpoker is one) that charges good money to watch videos and get help to improve your game. Of course there's the old school called hard knocks which you will eventually improve or have no money left to play.
  • i will pm you this schabs.

  • yes of course, its 50 50 whatever you win, say they start you at like 200 dollars a day, you cant play more then 15 percent of your bankroll for a single buy in, they recommend no higher then 50 cent one dollar cash games and no bigger then 30 dollar buy in stt, but anything under that you can play up to your daily loss limit. I am not sure about limit but they will let you play omaha under this program. will p.m. you the link so you can look it over,

not saying it is for everyone, but i thought i would pass it on to you guys.

  • as long as you have a positive balance after 30 days or even if you broke even and have the desire and attitude they will take you onto the program.

  • A cryptologic skin - deathtilldawn poker runs a similar concept for their poker site.

Basically the catch is you lose rakeback, bonuses and any past losses need to be made up. Given the time requirements , it really is not an optimal choice for a winning player, and usually the starting stakes are very small as well.

Not a horrible option for a person with basically zero money I suppose, but expect a lot of work for a minimal return and of course if you do really well - expect to feel ripped off giving away some of your profits :)
  • sound good for new people that want to get it start with no bankroll.
or good players that cannot take the swing.
  • monterey and chuckie are right, it is best for new players or good players, if you are like a sir watts there is no point in going for it.

i am currently looking into a different staking program started by some of the pnl'ers from the u.k., i have just started in this one and invested in one of the moderators of the site and have gotten a return so far on this, a player who i know has already made 850 bucks in 2 months sinced he joined. this is probably a better opportunity for me as i have played with alot of these people on this site for over a year.
  • i'm a micro and low stake player
if someone want to stake me for high or med stake. i'm happy to take a shot at it. but i wouldn't doing for my bankroll, too tiny.
other then that, i see no reason to use it.
i'm well rolled for my stake.
it would be good if you are ex-high stake winner. but due to many X factor, you no longer have bankroll.
this can save you alot of time by not startup grinding from micro stake
  • i refuse to play it not because i dont have the time to do so, but because i refuse to give my money away. Its standard staking rules, if ya win they get 50% if ya lose its on them. The only catch however that i dont think was mentioned is that its not after 30 days from what i have read, its after 3 days of play. If you are not up after 3 days of play, they reduce your daily allowance. If after 30 days you are a constant winner then they increase your daily allowance. I can post the link for anyone who would like so that you can read it for yourselves. It is a good program for anyone with a limited bankroll and extra time available. Its also good for anyone who wants to put their own roll on hold and play with someone elses, kinda like a br challenge. Just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in since my name was mentioned at the top of the thread.

  • i forwarded the link to the people that have asked for it so they can read everything over, to much to type it all out:D
  • Not truly staking as they roll your monthly losses forward. So they are in effect charging you 50% of your profit and the losses are essentially on you.
  • i will admit, i read it quickly, however during a post with the rep i did say "so staking rules" and was given an answer of yes. I have also read something from a sponsored player that she was a bit taken back that she wasnt reloaded everyday. I have not payed that much attention to it, cuz i'm not really interested. I appologize if i provided misleading info. The point was that the link could be made available for those who wanted to read it, but i see that it is. :)
