World poker championship @ Fallsview casino Oct 10-16.Anybody at last years tourney? I plan on attending,are tickets required? I'll check online but any info would be appretiated.

    Several forumers played at last year's WPT North American Poker Championship. Seven of the final 18 were Canadians, many of whom played in underground clubs. The third place finisher who won $372,772 used to play in the same Brampton location where my WPT league is.

    If you want to play, it will cost you $10,300. Watching paint dry is free. ;) For the final table television viewing, you get a free a souvenir chip with a number for the very long wait. The viewing was much worse in 2007 than the first year. Instead of the auditorium, an improptu stage was set up where I had played and there were a lot less seats available. People complained that drinks weren't allowed this time. I will probably make it to TV telecast because I was right in Jonathan Little's background when there was a key all-in hand. After that, I got too sleepy and won some money at 5/5 and didn't bother going back, and the record for the most hands at a WPT final table was broken.

    Thanks for the info, maybe one of the days I'll have the money & skill to play, for now I'll just have to be content watching.

    There are always online qualifiers ;) You can give it a shot for a couple bucks on several sites.
