I would skew it in ways that make the government think that people don't make money gambling so that tax is not necessary.

Forget skewing it for the government - let's repopulate the pond:

I'm a high-school drop-out, middle-aged with a family, and was recently laid-off from my factory job. With little more training than watching a couple WPT re-runs, I was able to launch my new career as a professional poker player. Now I get to set my own hours and my income has tripled. Poker really is easy - I wish I knew that before I started "working" 20 years ago...

Not sure if youre being sarcastic or not. Surely you didn't start playing high limits and winning just from watching a few tv poker games? And if you were playing low limits, I cant say your income would suggest a professional poker income
