  • I want to play in it, my problem is I live in Toronto and besides going out of town to play poker I've had no need for a car. So I have no transportation. My question is does anyone know how to get there by bus or something. If someones driving from the city I'll pay the gas if I could hitch a ride. Or if theres others in the same situation maybe we could slit on a rental.
  • Unfortunatly, if you have not bought a seat by now you will not get one. I think it was sold out 2 -3 weeks ago.
  • I will be there.

Dead Money, have you played in any of these events before?
  • Yes, I have played the last 2 tourneys there.

First ever tourney, finished around 20th, and the second finished 11th, one out of the money, but got a nice t shirt!!! :banghead:
  • So you went out on the bubble eh? I have done that a few times myself. I say this time you'll get there....you can take 2nd place since I'm planning on winning this thing.
Come and say hi to me I'll be the big guy with a shaved head and Ill be wearing a red T shirt.
  • I would love to play in the event but I'm stuck here at school studying.
  • I wanted to play in this event but it sold out really quickly. Good luck!
  • I wanted to play, but I can't justify taking the day off work to go and gamble. If I don't place in the money, not only have I wasted the $120 entry....but the added $150 in lost wages....it just equals a bad bet. I would love to know why they've scheduled the events mid-week in the afternoon??? :banghead:
  • The tourney is really a full day thing.

Starts at 9 AM I think and is usually over around 6 - 7 PM.

    It makes a good day.
  • most casinos schedule their tourneys mid-week because they make a boat-load more of money off of ring games than they do off of hosting tournaments=would not be as feasable to host a tourney on a weekend. easy
  • i'm inthis tourney 2 first live one for me. any tips
  • any tips

I like winning. It's, like, better than losing.
  • Here Here!!!
  • I'm entered in Wedensday's Tournament... This will be my 6th time in the tournament. My best finish is 12th, but I've been final 2 tables in 3 of 6 tournaments.

Its a great little tournament to get your feet wet. At only $120 entry, its as solid as they come. Run very well.... great eating!

I always take the trip up to Port Perry with my buddy, Jon, who won the last tournament in Port Perry. Thankfully, I had made a deal with him, so we split the profits :)

I find its about 50% suckers, 40% average players, and 10% solid players. Most players are typically limit players, so they just don't understand about not chasing draws, or betting enough to prevent others from chasing draws.
