  • Because Ivey was stuck.

    /g2
  • Ivey and Antonius had a prop bet going that involved Ivey not wanting to show down an Ace, so Ivey really had the only hand that Antonius had to be worried about.
  • very interesting hand, i donno if antonius really had to get in that deep
  • Why did he call? Cuz he's PHIL IVEY, BITCH!!!!

Honestly, I dont think the prop bet had any effect on this hand. I mean there is no way that the prop bet was worth anything nearly near the amount that he was gonna win. If Ivey had an ace, he was playing that hand to the river for sure. Not gonna fold because of some measly prop bet.

I obviously don't know the details or size of the prop bet but Ivey and Antonius had some huge prop bets going that day... it was reported that Antonius lost i think about 600k on prop bets alone. Basically because of the prop bet they had Antonius didn't think Ivey had an ace and if Ivey doesn't have an ace, jacks full is the only hand he has to worry about.
  • That's one nice hand... don't think I'd been able to get that much money out of it as Phil did...
    bah... :(
  • If it wasn't Patrik he probably wouldn't have either ;)
