Lh vs. NLH

Im going to try out the LH in Edmonton on the 8th, I usually only play the NLH events but I'm going to try it out.
So I have a couple of questions about LH in general.

1. Do drawing hands hold a higher value because of being able to check/call?
2. I'm getting the hang of pot odds and impied odds but before the flop is when I run into trouble, Would you flat call in last position 3 bets before the flop with 89h and 3 other opponents and why or why not?

Thanks Again

Hmmm... I don't know the answer. I will say this, no-limit is a game of implied odds (how much will I win IF I hit my hand) and limit is a game of pot odds (what is in the pot right now). Drawing hands in no limit are often a problem. The bet you are facing is so large that you aren't getting sufficient pot odds and if you hit your nut flush you will not get paid off because it is obvious that you have hit your flush.

So... I guess if I have to pick I prefer drawing hands in limit hold'em.

In a tournament, no. YOu are a dog. The pot if going to be VERY big which means that the most likely result is that you are going to have to play the hand to the river since you will likely pick up enough of a hand to keep calling. THis is a marginal, but VERY high variance situation. If you are LOW on chips or HIGH on chips ... maybe. That's when variance can be your friend.
