Personally, I can't stand cheese. I know, I know, it's bizarre. I like pizza, but I don't like cheese. I think I don't mind 'pizza cheese' because:
A) It's mozzarella, which is a very mild cheese, and It's melted, which means the texture doesn't bother me as much.
I think it's a whole taste/texture thing that makes me not like cheese. Gag reflex, or something, based on the picture in my head of cheese starting out as a glass of milk that had been left on the counter for too long.
When I was a kid, my favourite desert was 'cherries jubilee'. I loved it. Couldn't get enough. One day, my grandmother asked me if I wanted more 'cherries cheesecake'. I said 'what?'. She said 'Oh, I mean cherries jubilee'. I haven't eaten it since.
